Wow, very nice. love the typography and the patterned initials, reminding me of some of the textile patterns. Like the crisp clean look. In #3 I wonder if the use of a third color (or black) would give the logo a bit more dimensionality? But, really, a great start. Would love to see one or two subtle variations of the treatment of the initials...
Interesting treatment for #9 and #8. The A's look a bit like doorways, which got me thinking that pre-Columbian Andean architecture always have the walls of houses sloping a bit more narrow at the top. Google Andean doorways and you'll see what I mean. It's a subtle leaning, but there on both sides of the door. That means the top of the door opening is narrower. I wonder if you could try that with those versions? Might be very appropriate.
I have ranked #8 as third favorite. I am going to invite my board to view the logos...was wondering if you could modify the A's as per my above suggestion so they could see them that way. Thanks so much!
Thanks so much. Really like the typography. This may be too picky at this point and ignore if you want, but the cross bar at the top of the A's could benefit by being thicker, at least it will look more Incan.
THanks so much. I know #3 ad #4 will be highly ranked.
Congratulations -- you are in first and second place with your logos for Andean Textile Arts. But before we finally decide we would like to see some further tweaks and try to think about how the logo will be used in a variety of formats.
First, the tweaks. One of our board has asked to see how the logo would work if the green were replaced by the indigo. Personally, I'm not sure at all, but let's go ahead and try it....
Also, could you try to modify the A's so that the top of the A itself (the bar across the top of the A) is a fraction thicker than the sides? This would be in keeping with the Andean doorway style.
Also, could you try a version where the A's actually are distored a bit and the align with the center T on one side, with the other side sloping away. Hard to explain, but the right hand side of the left A will be vertical along the center T, and the left hand side of the right A will also align the center T. Both of those A's will have their other sides (outside sides) slope away.
Thank you so much. WE hope to choose our final design in a few short days.
wow.. thanks for the rank! and thank you for your appreciations!
i just a bit confused, about the green color that will replaced by indigo color, which design do you mean? my entry #25 there's no green, and entry #24 there's dark green which one you prefer ? if the changes for my entry #24 , how about entry #25 is there any color changes that you want? of course after i've made the changes for letters A's
all the top of A's has been more thicker, and the inner side of A's is vertical along the center T. but for entry #61 and #65 remains the same as before, so you can compare it but the top of the letter A's has been made thicker.
also the colors some of theme i used indigo dye color, there are a variety of colors indigo out there, maybe you have indigo color specifications desired?
I will look at them carefully this evening. Do you think there will be situations where the texture behind the letters will not print well? Maybe we will need two options?
And speaking of options, someone on our committee suggested we have a horizontal option as well where the words were placed next to the logo. For letterhead or top of page use. What do you think?
the texture will not printed well when the size is very small but still give the impression that the logo has a texture, it doesn't mean the texture will gone 100%.
i will show you how the logo will look like in the small sizes this #70 about 0.332" x 0.36" / about 0.9 x 0.9 cm this #71 about 0.251" x 0.272" / 0.637 x 0.691 cm these sizes are rarely to use, but if really needed to use those sizes, it still on the safe area, so the size of the logo if it is above measures will be seen more clearly
these #72 #73 #74 the same sizes as #71 but with different colors, that black and white color is a minimum color printed for a variety of basic needs in products
and this #69 horizontal version estimate of the size used for letterhead about 2 x 0.6 cm / 0.8" x 0.224"
and for your informations , the horizontal version will be included in the final files, also the logo without texts will included, and black and white colors
Looking at the reduced size, the texture on the a's is making the legibility an issue, could we have design #66 with a little less texture, if you know what I mean?
Could we see the type treatment ( shape of letters) of 65 in the style of of 23 and 24, And also, Could we see 23 with a subtle weave texture behind it...very subtle.. Thanks!!!
by the way, logo tournament only allow me to upload 1 jpg file and 1 the EPS vector file, so I can not send the rest here, therefore I need your e-mail address
FINAL FILES UPLOADED!!, the horizontal version and black&white colours already included on eps. file (vector file), but if you need jpg or png files i will send them through email.
