If I were doing house construction then I would like this design.

Google "Diode Symbol" I can't copy/paste but it is ----|>---- with the triangle filled in with orange color and orange solid line across.

This scheme is possibility - but symbol has no significance. Maybe try our AC to DC conversion symbol which is a sine wave ( ~ ) then use the / or diagonal followed by the DC symbol which is just a ( - ) or dash. So, ~/- in the box in an artsy way? Alternatively - a diode symbol or SCR symbol which you can look up in an electronics book.
