One of my favorite things about retro/kitsch-y lounges is matchbooks. I'm not even sure that you HAVE matchbooks, but I tried to think up something that would make for a sweet matchbook cover.
Vintage colors and a mermaid - sounds like a kitcshy beach-side bar to me!!
I am familiar with Matchbooks especially the old Tiki Bar ones. Some killer stuff. I like the mermaid, a little to busy and bright, sex her up. Our maybe we do matchbooks, but it is California. Is she sitting on a anchor?
Yeah - the colors are a little brighter - I pulled some colors off of old casino signs for inspiration. I was trying to think a little more abstract and may have missed the mark - there really should be a literal anchor. I'll try and tone the detail down a bit, too. Next round will be a more simplified mermaid with an anchor- with and without type.
A new mermaid on an anchor raising a martini glass. The rope forms an "A" - either as just a mark or with type. Two colors and no gradients - so it could easily be screened onto tshirts, napkins, glasses, signs and, of course, matchbook covers (Matchbook covers would be rad!)
