These look really great. I would like to see it with a solid black background, on my screen it looks dark blue. I really like the direction the light is going in #31(from left to right.) I would also like to see a different font. Maybe make 'Ambient' and 'Media' the same height, so that both words stand out, leaving 'inc' smaller somehow. I also want all words on one line. 'Ambient' and 'Media' can be the same font, but 'media' being made different by the thickness of the font (make it thinner) so that the words do not run together.
Yes you are right - the background is dark blue. I thought it would give more harmony to bluish lights. I will gladly introduce all changes you mentioned but now I'm threatened by other designer who feels I plagiarized his entries although I just followed your brief as closely as possible. We have so called Logo Court and strange things happen in courts so now I will better wait for the outcome because changing font can add some more fuel to this paranoia.
I have been working with the other designers for a while trying to capture light graffiti for my logo. I think you nailed the idea in the first shot, and I do not believe it was close to any other designs up to the point when you entered the contest. I have other professional designers who agree that your designs are unique enough to not count as plagiarism. I agree that what you did was based on my requests as much as any other designs. As you can see from your rank, I still feel like your version of the sine wave captured what I have been looking for more than any other design. Is there anything I can do to help the process of the Logo Court so that I can see the design with the changes I have requested?
Thank you very much for your support. I was waiting but I didn't get any formal notice. Looks like he rethought his stance and changed tactic but I definitely don't want to sue anyone. That's what crowd sourcing (nasty name) is all about: many work - only two can win).
Here are three revised entries. I will try to apply different thickness to the font but in current symmetrical approach I think it could throw things out of balance.
I think #44 is almost there. It is by far the closest to what I want. I really think the only thing I would like to see is for the font to be larger. I would like the business name to span the width of the entire sine. If you don't mind, I'd also like to see an example of the larger font with AND without the glow behind the business name. One of my employees also thinks it could look better with 'inc' under 'ambient media' (similar to #45 but with the font of #44), but instead of centered, having it right aligned. I can't picture this, so I'd like to see it. However, I still really like the way 'inc' is in #44, so if you don't mind, I'd like to see examples of both. Thank you for your designs, I like them very much.
Thank you for your support. English is not my language so I really enjoyed the way you put things straight at LC.
Your contest is still open and there come new nice entries so maybe you wish to extend it to have bigger choice. I don't know the maximum time for the contest but any designer with the first rank can send you revisions even during judgment mode.
I promised my family vacation and I will leave tomorrow morning. It can take up to a week till I will be available again with my Corel Draw.
I've just sent you required files. I'm very sorry you had to wait for so long but I promised some traveling to my wife and kids and I didn't want to take laptop with me - parking my car here and there. I will send you more files to your email.
