Will think about how to make this work... are there particular types of games you are focusing on? As I was once in the game business (Marketing Manager of Atari Coin Op) I see many different types of games... so I don't want to get too busy...
You are very creative and I LOVE #2 and #4. We are getting so close. Read my comment to the group about the letter Z forming maze around the words. I love the simplicity of #2 yet I'm drawn to business of #4, crazy huh? lol Thanks for submitting your ideas!!!!
Most of my questions are more general about the exhibit. 1. Where is it? Sounds like this is a traveling exhibit? right? 2. as you noted you can use the characters as a guide through the exhibit and I can help you with signage for that if you want. but that could be done with either option. 3. Is this a history of games / interactive type exhibit? are you focusing on all types of games or mainly one or two segments of the game world? (not as much for the design but curious as I was a big part of the early electronic game industry personally) 4. Is it just an exhibit or are you going to have any 'workshops' for the attendees? (I taught a short 5 session class to 6th graders on making games) And about the logo - I will give you files in more formats than LT's basic ones once you decide and approve of the basic ones. I will give you the elements separately as you need them. My view from the side I work on: the one with the birds uses only 3 colors which makes some things more cost effective. OH and the tag line can change as you want... The one with the "game parts" is a bit harder to read and may be hard to do very small in size. It might also be harder to do a 1 color version of but not impossible. If you want me to try more fonts.... let me know what type you prefer... OR more options... I can do that.
OK so I did one more with an even more basic font and emphasis on Games more than Amazing... might be worth consideration....
I am thinking you can do some pretty fun t-shirts (but that is what I do) and maybe even a game kit with the logo on it.... IF it is a game history exhibit you can do a custom exhibit trivia game ... it would be so fun to put that together... I can see it as a bunch of trading cards with photos from the exhibits and trivia questions and facts on the back of each card... could be a real bonus program... (maybe you already thought of that!)
1. It is a traveling exhibit. 2. Agreed. 3. Little history, mostly interactive. At this time we have no video games in the plans. 4. Still in development.
Thank you for all of the feedback. We feel strong about both logos for various reasons and have talked about the readability.
If you can think of a way to combine birds with more images from non electronic games that would be great.
Three of us are working on this project so I am sure you will hear more feedback.
AND we also love the tag line on the birds logo. can we see what it would be like on the games pieces logo? Thanks and I think that might be it for now, LOL
