Your concept of graphics at each end of the name would work well with a pass-through graphic of some sort.

I like the concept of this logo layout, but the banner doesn't relate to our mission.
What can you put in it's place and configuration that will?

Your design needs improvement, but I don't know what to suggest. The hand graphics are pretty skinny (thin).
