Can you frame the honeybee inside a square instead of the hexagon? So that it remains the original "alchemy" symbol, and integrate the honeycomb another way. Perhaps even inside the honeybee itself?

I like where you are going with this. I would like the honeybee to be more beautiful and creative, artistic. The colours are contrasting a bit much. Tone the orange down into a yellow/gold spectrum.
