It distinguishes the AK from the Lands.
Advice from my peers when I was creating my logo is, persons that live in the "lower 48" (48 states of the United States) do not know what AK stood for.

First let me say thank you for even considering a designer’s advice. Now about something feminine... again very tricky... maybe the AK as sans serif and the land in italics? I will try some things

I built the website myself. I am still working on it, as I finalize the start of my business. I never really thought about the use of my font.
What font do you think would go better with the theme that I have wanted in the race. Sans serif fonts match the theme of the website, but what if I wanted to have a more adventurous , feminine theme?

I would like to give you some advice if I may. You have a very modern website. It uses sans serif fonts, solid colors. A logo in order to fit well, must also use sans serif fonts and solid colors. I just submitted logos with gradients but in my opionion they do not fit well. Also you are trying to fit too many things into a logo. Imagine that the logo will be very small most of the times...

Anyway we could try two other 3D images within the compass of the logo?
1. Take the mountains out, and add a person surveying. OR
2. Put a Land Survey monument in the middle. Google images, Land survey monument Alaska

I like the colors you are using for the logo. Maybe add a fade of the blue that's highlighting the mountains? From a white-ish light blue to what you are using.
Can you try two variations a color style for AK Lands.
1. Use a Faded orange throughout AK Lands.
2. Use a Blue to Turquoise fade into AK Lands text style.

Can we put some feminine into the logo? Whether it be the text style or logo.

Keep the Land Surveying Orange and same text.

Can we play with making the Words AK Lands Orange? Faded the colors in the AK lands?
