Comment Activity Lhall commented on #74 Withdrawn Thank you for continuing to improve and submit ideas. Your design has come a long way. You are in the top 10 but there is strong competition above you. 8 years ago Essendio commented on #74 Withdrawn Hi! Thank you! I have changes from "A" to "a" in "are" and also worked out the proportions of the leader, some details at the hand where it hold the book and some details at head. 8 years ago Lhall commented on #64 Withdrawn Good. This image can be related to the trained leader. This image without the circle background will go in the top 10, possibly higher. Can you lower case the "a" in "are", please? Thanks! 8 years ago Lhall commented on #51 Withdrawn I really like the fonts you chose! There is a strong, classy feel. But I don't understand the message of the graphic. It does have a contemporary feel but it doesn't say anything to me about bringing hope through trained leaders. Do you want to keep working on it? 8 years ago Lhall commented on #50 Very good question. Our current logo (see https://www.facebook.com/africashope.org) does have a silhouette of a human figure. We are not opposed to some representation of a human figure, either a silhouette or a stylized figure or an icon. In fact, if that element is in the logo we choose, it will be easier for us to design a campaign to connect our new logo with stories of existing trained leaders. But it is not a must. The only "must" element is the continent of Africa. "Contemporary feel" is not something I can help you with. When I look at a design, I instinctively know if it has an old feel vs contemporary feel but I'm not sure why I feel that way. Sorry I can't help you with that. 8 years ago Essendio commented on #50 No problem! Can you show me some examples of contemporary feel logo? I've seen that in your previews contest the logo has a human in it. I assume that you don't want a human in the logo anymore? 8 years ago Lhall commented on #50 Thanks for continuing to submit ideas, ilie Each one is an improvement over the previous. These two designs do have a more contemporary feel. We still need to do more work before your designs can contend for the top. I would like you to concentrate more on the concept of "trained leaders are the hope of Africa." The dove and the ladder do not connect in my mind to the central mission of Africa's Hope, which is to facilitate more trained leaders. What can you show us that evokes hope through trained leaders? 8 years ago Essendio commented on #49 Hi Larry! Thank you for feedback. I've updated the concept ( #49 ) and added a classic ladder for the leadership ( i chose the classic ladder because of the age of the Word, and also can symbolize in a subtle way the ladder of John of the Ladder ). I have also changed the fonts in a modern sans and a modern script. 8 years ago Lhall commented on #38 Withdrawn These two designs are better, Ilie, but still not contemporary enough. Also, the "Spirit-filled" (dove) part of our mission statement is vital but the "trained leader" is how we are unique. Do you have ideas that would highlight leadership? 8 years ago Lhall commented on #26 Withdrawn including Africa is an improvement but overall, I'm not inspired. Can you suggest something that is more contemporary? 8 years ago Essendio commented on #26 Withdrawn Simple, to inform the viewer from the start about what the logo represents. Also it looks nice in small dimensions, I've uploaded one example in black and white. What is your view on this? 8 years ago Essendio commented on #17 Withdrawn Thank you for feedback! Yes, it's helpfull! Let me see what I can do. Best regards! 8 years ago Lhall commented on #17 Withdrawn No, sorry! Thank you for submitting these designs but when I said in the rules that Africa is a "must," I meant that we must have an image of the continent in the logo. It's clever to have a uniquely African tree, but that's not enough. The African continent will have to be some part of any design we pick. Does that help? Does it give you something to work on? 8 years ago Essendio commented on #17 Withdrawn Hi! Let me know if the designs are on the right track. Any suggestion is welcomed. 8 years ago
