I submitted entry #9 with an owl character. You had mentioned in your brief that you were interested in an owl character, so I spent a good part of yesterday and today creating the design for you. I just saw your post in the general comments that you are no longer interested in an owl?
Any clarification would really help. I'd hate to think I just wasted 6 hours of design time.
We are so happy that you have entered the contest because we like your work!! We do want an owl, and we like your owl, but since so many of the other logos were not so good we thought maybe we better open up the description to encourage others to be more subtle. Your time was not wasted as we really like it. The level of your art seems higher than many of the others.
We need our logo to inspire trust and to convey that we are professional. Perhaps it would convey a little more of what we are after with a more refined font. As far as the colors go, would it work if most of the logo were in the neutrals and the owl were the splash of color? i like chocolate brown and white and a dark red. I also like your grays and black with maybe dusty blue or sage. I'd love to see other ideas you have for the colors too. I think this particular shade of blue is not quite my taste-- although it's a fine color in general.
We like your style, but for our purposes, we would like the owl to be a little more serious and majestic. We also kind of wanted two owls as that part of our business is important to us. I don't want him to have a graduation hat. My husband and I are represented by the owls-- not the student.
Also did you see my comment that we prefer not to have the tag line, "Offering... and tuition" on the logo.
