Thank you for submitting your work and congratulations on your success on the site.
I like the concept, and it is the first educational hook I've seen that I believe supports our brand...well, at least the brand we are developing!
I would like to see #30 with the following adaptations: --Using the granny smith apple green as the accent, rather than the orange --Add "space" SSO to the end of Able, so it reads Able SSO --Please try a different font for Able SSO...thicker...no italics on Able, but do apply for SSO (I think) --Increasing the top line should allow for a larger font on "student scholarship organization", and please drop the caps from that line. --I would like to see a version described above with the icon at the beginning, as it is now, and one with it at the end.
here are the new versions with the adjustments you wanted made. thanks for the constructive feedback, bey the way. the only change I didn't do is the SSO i left in regular type not italic (it just looked kind of funny that way.) let me know if i can make further improvements for you. thanks.
here they are with the hexidecimal number for green you wanted. if you have a hex # for a certain blue you want too, just let me know and i can put that color in as well. Thanks.
You know, I love this look, but when I glance at it, it looks kind of like a martini glass with an olive. That would definitely NOT promote the brand we're seeking. Of course, when I know what it is, I'm loving it...can you think of any tweaks that might minimize the optical illusion?
Can I get a bit more red/black in your blue? The current looks like CYAN.
I saw you dogging the "people reaching" in the forum, and although I don't prefer those paper dolls circling the globe, I think this one is a nice design! : )
Here it is with a 'bluer' blue. i left the arms more defined. again, don't hesitate to ask for me to make more improvements for you. if you think of anything more you'd like included/reworked please let me know.
as far as that post from a while back.... yeah i was a little frustrated at that time with this site because it seemed every contest was choosing paper doll images in one form or another. sometimes those choices were appropriate, but most times they wern't. it was frustrating as a designer to submit a well thought out logo to a CH and for them to totally ignore it and go with a generic human figure.
the ones circling the globe are by far the worst tho...! i have seen that logo entered in numerous contests. i think a figure is appropriate for your contest because you are dealing with kids and you always will be.
i didn't have as much problems with the ones doing/holding something-- but the dolls that just sit there and be dolls don't seem to accomplish much in my opinion.
sorry to ramble. again let me know if i can improve on this further for you. Thanks!
