I might have a logo suitable for your fall campaign, with actual basket overflown with harvest related food, and presence of God in the central part. There are flat/2D versions on entries #24 and #25, but on entries #26 and #27, you have variations with subtle 3D effects added, for better visual impact. My personal favorite would be #27.
Hope you'll like the idea, and if you have some suggestions for improvement, feel free to let me know!
Regards, Bojan
P.S. I didn't incorporate your church name, as you've stated it wasn't a fixed request, but it can be done if needed, of course.
Although your feedback was not overwelming :), I have two more perfect designs for your contest,...#34 and print friendly emblem form design on #35! :) Just joking, these are for my portfolio, but if you recognize high quality behind these designs, you can have them! Cheers!
I like #34. My only concern is that the wine bottle to me makes it look a little picnic like. Possibly replacing the wine bottle with more bread or harvest or food.....Nice work!
Hello! Thank you for the feedback, and I'm glad you've recognized potential behind this design,...my first thought was "wine = Blood of Christ", but that wine botlle might be more connected to alcohol,...you're right! Let me see what can be done! Talk soon!
I totally get your thought regarding the wine. The bottle just gave it too much of a picnic basket feel. A chalice possibly, but it might not work with the whole idea of abundance, overflowing, harvest type theme.
I believe we're on the same "frequency" here! Here are some variations on this design (#46, #47, #48),...I've removed the bottle and concetrated more on bread and wheat,...it looks better! What are your thoughts!?
Glad to hear it,...it is really nicely developing! Here's one more update, with a bit more diversity in the basket, and filled heart shape,...#49! Thanks!
Feedback from my co-workers: -Can basket & heart be a dark purple rather than black? -Would it be possible to detach the cross from the heart without losing the shape of the heart? -Basket feels a bit too crowded - possible to remove the grape clusters on the right and left, use #48 and move the cross to the upper left inside the heart?
I know we said abundance....I think we are getting very close with this. Thank you for working with us!
Sure thing, it's a pleasure! ...we are here to explore options and get the best possible solution. I'm personaly also very satisfied how this design is developing. I'll be back with requested modifications within next 2 - 3 hours.
Thanks!!! I think we might have too many cooks in the kitchen....another suggestion was to raise the hoops of the hearts and leave the basket full - this might help with the basket looking too crowded. Also, darken the green for the words a bit.
I'm back with both suggested modifications! #64 and #66, with dark purple heart/basket, and my suggestion with dark blue on #65 and #67. On your first suggested modification (#64/#65), I had to add some additional wheat, in order to fill the empty space, where the cross was,...this suggestion actually looks interesting.
I took a bit of time distance to get more objective assesment,...latest suggestion from your coworkers also make sense,...#66/#67 is improved version and more I look at it, more I lean to this design. It has more room for basket content to "breathe" now,...I would also keep grapes on the sides of the basket, because they give nice proportional balnce to whole design, and wouldn't change central position of the cross,...also, orange/red tomato in that design gives it very nice, subtle accent color.
Hope this little analysis helps a bit. Let me know what you think!
...testing one more disposition on entries #73/#74, with cross placed to the left,...I've kept grapes on the sides, for better overall proportional balance, and added orange/red tomato for additional accent (tomato also has strong symbolic meaning, since it is known all over the world as "paradise fruit").
...exploring one more color option on #79! ...of course, this design can also be easily turned into black/monochromatic version, but I think color version delivers the message of "fall/harvest/abundance/giving/sharing" in better way!
...this took a sudden turn in unexpected direction!? :) ...well, if you change your mind, design we've developed is still an option! Thank you for your cooperation! Cheers!
this is a bit of a stressful process from this end!!! :) we were reminded that this will be a design used for an entire year and that this feels too fall/thanksgiving even though it totally conveys the message of abundance. as this would totally resonate with our older demographics, the younger crowd not so much. you've done outstanding work and very responsive - thank you! we will be submitting another contest in the near future for a new logo for our church.
...it doesn't make much sense to me, but if this is what you want, I respect that! This still remains high quality design, and it'll probably soon find its buyer, in some form. Thanks and good luck!
