Wow. I can see why you are #2 ranked. The 8 dot/star idea for the PLAs... brilliant! And using the figure as the '0'. That's good. My only concern would be that someone would mis-read it as "4•Day LEAP" leaving us 36 days short. How about adding an orange shadow to the '4' to make it more similar to the O, and try making the 4 & O the same size (the 4 is a tad smaller at the moment). Also, how about the underline from #31 under the "40 Day" and the dots from #29 under "LEAP" Very nice work, thanks for 'leaping' in on the contest.
I really like the idea of the yin/yang concept for balance, but I do not think I'm going to go with it. The figure seems a little too forward facing, and I would prefer more of a profile image; less celebratory and more striving forward as if to reach a goal.
So, putting the ring around the circle does pull out the '40', but it also makes the artwork too small. But I prefer the 2-toned logo (#29) to the solid color (#38), so I don't have any ideas on how to resolve that. I hope you do. Maybe a slightly darker shade of blue for the '4' and a thin ring of that shade around the circle? Thanks for your quick responses and attention to detail!
All right, you give me a lot to pick and choose from. Let's try this: The layout from #36, with the '4' in blue (like #29), the circle image from #53, and let's keep 'day' in lowercase but sow me a version with day in blue, and one with it in orange. I hope that makes sense.
Your work all looks very sharp and I really like the subtle contrast curve that runs throughout the design!
#93 is a nice new idea. I like the 40. The 'day leap' is a little difficult to read in that font and LEAP needs to be all caps, but the idea is worth considering.
