One small change Ednal. Can you adjust the size of the text so that the character's right arm fits just nicely in between the A and S? its a very minor detail but if you look at the reference i sent you can see what i mean.

I played with it and enlarged the text / changed the red to black. I like it like this.

I do like the enlarged circle compared to the smaller one but maybe the rays can be less extended out just a little for a happy medium

Hi, here is an update, I put some yellow gradations between the rays. I also make some options, please see my another new entries.

I wish I could give you a better description of what I want but for this part I’ll let you take control lol. Just make the sun and rays pop and have some depth! And I think that’ll be a wrap my friend :)

I like both! Nearly perfect. Is there something subtle we can add to the sun and rays to make it all come together? Maybe another shade of yellow in between the rays and an outline that makes them stand out a little more? I love everything I just feel like the sun and rays can be spruced up just a tad. Nothing over the top but just enough to bring everything together.

Give Turon a slight effect on the lettering while keeping the color but not embossing it so it doesn’t look so plain. Also center it a little better please.

Size of the sun is good. I think the sunrays can extend out to meet the circle, so a little peeks out behind characters head and bottom of text. I want all the rays to extend out to the circle while maintaining the fade effect. Do that but Remove the circle afterwards.

Is the highlight surrounding the text black or very dark gray? It looks good but my concern is what it will look like against a black background. Can we try to do a dark grey similar to the color of the reflection on his sunglasses?

Let’s make all the changes and do one version with the dark gray and one version keeping the black.

Not exact colors but something like this. Very dark gray works better than black. And I changed Turon to a light tan with a slightly yellow hue

Looking at #69 I do like how the turon stands out. I just don’t like the brown. I would like to see tasty in imperial red, but maybe instead of brown we can try black, and keep Turon in a contrasting color?

This color scheme works. I’m not excited about these fonts. The sun and character are good to go. Let’s use the same fonts as #71, only keep “TASTY” in imperial red and give it some emboss. Keep Turon black and make it larger than it is in #71, almost equal in length to tasty with no emboss. And finally if you can enclose it all in a circle that would be great. I think it will come out awesome!

So just to re iterate:

1) use character logo with SMILE
2) use font “Richard Clean” for “Tasty”. Imperial Red with think black outline or embossment.
3) use font “Proxima Nova” for “TURON” in a thick and weighted size, all black no embossment.
4) adjust the narrowness of the sun rays so that they look similar to how they appear on the 🇵🇭 (narrowness of rays near edge of the sun)
5) remove “est. 2023” text
6) enclose the complete logo in a circle with subtle styling

No worries at all. I think with these new changes we will be much closer to a final product. I should have been more specific with font styles and exact colors before so my apologies for that as well!

Text: Use color imperial red for tasty with emboss, and black for Turon no emboss

Make it so that the rays are more narrow closer to the sun. If you look at the Philippines 🇵🇭 Flag you’ll understand what I mean.

Also try the cursive font “Alchemist” for Tasty
and a thick weighted “Proxima Nova” for Turon.

Enclose the logo in a circle and use the turon symbol with the smile

The sun extension looks great! I don’t think I’m a huge fan of the highlight on tasty, can we try removing it? Turon should definitely be larger and let’s keep all text black including est. 2023. Don’t be afraid to overlap the words. Can we try using a bright neon pink as a replacement for the gray embossment shadow on Tasty?

1) sunray effect is great! I like how he is centered in the sun as well. I’d like to extend the sunrays out some more, possibly up to where the T and Y are.

2) I like the font you chose for TASTY but I think we can actually use it for TURON instead. Keep TURON straight and emboss it but leave out any surrounding highlights.
For TASTY, try to find a cursive font that matches and is easily read & ledgible. You can use some highlights for TASTY and add color. Use creative layering with the words as well to make everything all come together and remain symmetrical.

We were granted an extension until early October so I really want to make sure we are happy with the final product. Thank you again for your work and patience in creating our brand logo!

The circle might work however if used I’d like the sun rays to be coming out from the circle and not inside, so that it looks more like a sun ☀️ (while keeping the rays in relation to what the rays look like on the Filipino sun) extended and faded out so that there are no hard lines at the ends of the sunrays. I hope my description makes sense.

You can use a combo of tan and brown highlight around turon to create more contrast. But I want turon and tasty to be separated

This is close to done. Let’s remove the brown shadowing from turon and enlarge “turon” slightly. Yellow is good but let’s try using a tan highlight similar to the color of the turon character. For the brown surrounding “tasty” let’s change it from brown to pink, similar to the color of his tongue.

Lastly, I’d like for the sunrays to extend out and have a fading effect at the ends. So that it really focuses your eye on the character and makes him pop. Let me see if I can find an image online you can use as a reference

I decided to go a new route with name and branding, but your logo still works. I’m calling the company “Tasty Turon”. Can you bring back the tongue in a slightly dark pink color and remove the cinnamon sugar?

1) I need the character to look better as far as how he is rolled. i encourage you to search for photos of spring rolls or turon to get an idea of what im looking for. i think its how the top of his head looks that can be improved.

2) let's try two options, one with a dark pink tongue and one where he his smiling

-Now as far as the rest, i decided to go with a non-cursive font.
I like the look of MONTSERRAT or something similar in thick and bold with all caps. You can remove the background from "EL CHURRÓN".

-we can use the same font not in all caps for the smaller fine print. but please change it to read "Inspired by the combination of two delicious classics"

-lets place the new character in between EL and CHURRÓN. under EL, put "EST. 2023" and under CHURRON, put the above mentioned statement "Inspired by the combination of two delicious classics". keep all text black.

-lastly, we can keep a circle around the character. let's size it so he is outside of the border ever so slightly. make the filipino sun rays stretch so that you cannot see their ends but so they blend into the circular border.

Let’s try to incorporate subtle Filipino sun rays shooting out from behind him inside the the circle. We can change the colors of the inner circle from yellow to white and the outline from orange to black.

Looking for a clean and sophisticated font. Not many colors needed, just Black outline and a light colored font. We can play with white, and light shades of tan.

No viewable filling, no vertical body lines. Let’s slim him a tad and straighten him up with less curvature. Cinnamon sugar should be noticeable on his entire body, and it should be more clear that he is a spring roll.

Last idea I had was to incorporate subtle sun rays inside the circle surrounding the character shooting outward from the center, behind him. Something to give him a more “awe” effect. However instead of using regular sun rays, I wanted to use rays that are shaped like the rays of the sun on the Filipino flag 🇵🇭. If you Google the flag you’ll notice that each sun ray has 3 pieces. I want it the rays to have a subtle contrast with the background but noticeable enough so that anyone that knows the flag will get it.

I’m also wanted the logo font to be more clean and bold, yet sophisticated at the same time. We can play with a few different fonts, both italic and possibly even cursive (so long as it’s easy to read and not too feminine).

Google “Filipino turon” and “Saba banana”… I really like the character you created however the banana peel can have a little more color (maybe some subtle green highlights). As far as the “Churrón” himself, can you slightly edit his appearance so that his body has no vertical lines (he’s not a churro), but rather so the audience can understand he is a spring roll (just shaped like a churro— since turon is shorter and wider). The top of his head should also look different as the filling will not be seen, as churro filling is normally seen. He is basically a elongated turon (banana spring roll) coated in cinnamon sugar similar to a churro. The shape and silhouette of the character can also be just a tad tweaked; let’s make him just a bit slimmer and less curved at the top.
