Something that is like the "Vice City" in the Grand Theft Auto Vice City Logo?

I do want it to translate to black and white for printing as well.

I like the original palm tree trunk on the left. Can you put that back in have the golf resting on it? You could move the sun around if you need to for positioning, up to you.

Can you Change the "Par-ty in the desert" to "Palm Springs" and choose a font/size that has it stand out a bit more? You can move the location of the text also.

Can you try doing one with the golf club and ball on the right instead of the flag and going back to the regular palm tree on the left.

Cleanliness is good. Party in the desert is too small. I think you were trying to build off "G" "I" for gentleman's invitational. Which is clever but gets lost. Try Starting the "G" "i" more prominently and adding from there. Doesn't need to a circular logo.
