Hi the font faces are not really liked either. It's not bad but not loved. It's a clean looking font so maybe just making it bold will pop it more... plus we are pretty sure we want to see everything in caps except for the trema u (so that is pops out more).
As for the abstract icons we don't really understand them or how they fit with our product / industry. Keep in mind we LOVE the sprint logo. It uses a nice clean to read but unique font then beside it is an abstract icon that is equally clean and fits well the market / product they sell (communications).
With stuning stone we're searching for a concept that will stick out to us like the sprint (we don't want the sprint icon just something that fits our product / market better and that is memorable).
