hi the font face that you used isn't that bad but the icon used nobody here really likes. First it's way too big in comparison to the company name. If you think of sprint logo there's the name and the icon beside it. There's not one that overpowers the other one. They both fit nicely together.
Are you able to show that font in a thicker facing? Maybe all in caps with the trema u in lowercase?
Do you have any other ideas for a possible icon that can fit? Again think of simplicity... like how simple the sprint icon is but at the same time how detailed it is to the industry / product offering that they offer.
We added more details to the project on the comments area. This might help you find a better direction that is more in line with what we are looking for.
Hi here are some more design proposals. If you like some of the icons but you don't like the font used for the name I can make some variations with other fonts. Degkon
#83 Wanted to explain, that the S has a flexible design as it twists through its body, and the open edges at the rectangle are symbolising the light weight ease of use. Overall rectangle as for construction/walls/rooms etc.
Thanks for the explanation on the idea. The font is nice looking. I'm going to show it to my boss tomorrow and get feedback over to you. In the meantime reading through what our company does and seeing photos of the product do you have any other ideas for a possible icon that might incorporate rock texture instead of just an "s" as you have done?
#93#99 A new set of ideas. 3 layers of a flexible material [stone], going upwards into the future. It has an organic feeling maybe because it resembles a bit of a leaf.
P.S. Until now I found it very difficult to incorporate a stone texture without being over-busy, heavy, or look like a pavement/tiles or animal print. All my attempts for a stone texture where to difficult or not sharp enough to be printed in black and white or in smaller scales. Any attempt I've made so far [and not submitted] at the end looked blurry and muddy. Degkon
Ok thank you very much. This concept is very interesting... Need to try to find a way to depict the stone or a texture without killing the overall concept or being too busy.
Hi thanks. We reviewed this with my boss. He thinks your abstract concept from #146 is cute but he did not like any of the S shapes that you created (sorry).
The thing is that he's wanting to have some changes made and see if you can elaborate on your concept a bit more so that it becomes more obvious.
1. Place the icon on the side of the wording Stuning Stone. 2. Have the trema U in capital lettering (so there's an emphasis the name is STUNING) 3. Remove the "texture" from the lettering. Keep that clean style & apply the texture to your abstract icon mark.
Now what he liked from other concepts (not asking you to copy them, just to understand). From #57 he liked that they are showing a panel and it's in the shape of an S with texture on top of it. Your concept is creative but he doesn't full get it but he does agree that your style is much cleaner than the others.
What I might suggest is maybe working on your abstract icon mark a little bit so that it's a bit more understanding that the product is a flexible sheet with texture (cause he thinks it was leafs).
Thanks for the update. One thing I would suggest is that each of your panels uses one of our rock textures (or similar colors if you want to keep everything vectorized). My boss really liked seeing his textures from logo option #125 (one of the reasons he ranked it).
Hi, here are the updates in white and in black background. I think it works good in both situations. I've used Autumn Rustic, Terra Red and Indian Autumn, hope you like it. Degkon
I have aligned the ending of the two words, the "N's" and the last letters also. Now is more harmonic, than before. The overall design is bit bigger so you can see it better, but the separate element keep the proportions as in #165
Forgot to say that the stone texture is wrapped around the layer, it follows the contours of the object, giving it a more 3d realistic feeling of a flexible stone layer. Also the 3 layers have bit of bigger spacing between them so to work better when printed in smaller scales.
Hi I just wanted to inform you that as of right now my boss is really leaning towards the #161 from pink. The reason for this is because he likes the icon that was created by this designer. He likes that it's 2 abstract S, that it shows flexibility, etc...
I do appreciate all of the time that you have contributed to this project and I would have liked to have chosen you but this decision is out of my hands.
#216 Made the icon to resemble more like an abstract "S". The whole icon is inspired from the sprint logo. Also in black and white to see how it is gonna be printed in one color.
