A media production company that creates innovative personal growth products and TV programming.

I am open to a couple of different color palettes:
1) I could see doing this logo in just the right shades of dark peachy orange and green (see www.susanpiver.com - though I would use a slightly different green than what's there - more chartreuse) for examples of this.
2) I could also see doing this logo in blues with maybe some yellows (note: I do not like dark blue and dark yellow combos).
3) Magenta and green.
The color should convey energy, wellness, fresh, knowledge.
I would absolutely avoid anything red, black, dark green, grey (unless it's very subtle like a small line or drop shadow).

The background of the logo should be white (e.g., I don't want a logo set against a box of color).

I don't have a firm design direction, though I do favor things a little more abstract and fresh. The word "Penda" is the swahili word for 'love'. (That said, I really don't want anything with hearts in it, unless it is done subtly and classy.) Some possible ideas might be:
1) A lotus (flower or pod) that is elegant or abstract - it could be a lotus with a feeling of light to it.
2) Something that conveys light (like a subtle sun burst or like the lamp in the Pixar logo - though if you pursue this I do not want a big sun sitting on top of the letters, but rather something more interesting interwoven within the lettering or as a watermark).
3). I also think an artistic peacock tail might be interesting (this would use more of a blue/teal color palette). There is interesting symbolism of the lotus and peacock together, but that might get more busy than I want in a logo.
4.) I am also very open to different ideas, including just some beautiful, interesting typeface treatment or something with minimal and abstract graphics.

I would like to see lots of initial sketch entries that show the concept. If the concept is on point then we can play around with getting it just right. I will provide timely feedback for any iterations.

The logo should be clean and somewhat minimalist, though it should be smart and interesting. The font should definitely be a SANS serif font. Probably this logo would look best with the lettering stacked (PendaLight on one line and Productions on another) since the name is long. I am fine if the logo has 3-6 colors in it. The company is about innovative products and programming and we offer the very best, most useful self-help information, so the logo should be sophisticated and strong and fresh.
