Hi, please find my first concept uploaded. The design uses a modern computer screen icon wearing a stethoscope linking it to the O in the word computer. The friendly smile on the screen shows that you offer friendly, professional service.

Hi, thanks for all the feedback and the ranking. I've been working on a few variations. Latest version #72 combines the concept of the screen with the placement of the last couple of designs with the text to the right.

its getting better and better!..

its not looking like a stetascope so much anymore, is there a way to make it look more like a stetascope (so someone else can understand what it is,) without loosing the simplicity?

Also, please always leave "BYTE" with its distinct color for it to stand out.

one more stupid thing... change it to "The cure for every bite" replace "a" with "the"

now I would like to make it a bit shorter. maybe turn the "inc" around sideway, not sure if it will look good but lets give it a try.

also, the ears of the stetascope should also be blue, i think.

Ok, #100 is very good. Only issue is that it wont really fit or look good with an address beneath it.
Let try to redo #100 (same fonts colors etc) but the layout of #71.

Now lets put that design on ice for a day, lets try something else but similer.

Lemme explain; the name Dr Computer seems like a home user company, when what I want to stress is that I do offices and networks. The above logo meets everything else I want, but this. It still seems like we fix only single computers.
Other designers tried to make me network diagrams but were very poor.
Is there a way for you to change the "computer icon" to a "network icon" (multiple computers, or whatever sybolises more computers, like a network switch etc) and the stetascope "checking the network".

they have sliding pictuers, click to the last one (web develepment) it has an icon of a computer, seems like was drawn with an etch a sketch.. can you make a few of those and make them look like a network? just an idea. you can come up with your own ideas, of course...

there is no need to scare anybody of the other designers off. So far your design is best, please don't intimidate them.

Hi, new designs uploaded. These designs feature the stethoscope which is forming the shape of the computers. They are connected in one continuous line (similar to the example you showed on the Ptex site) which suggests the network aspect you mentioned. The designs still have the simple, modern and professional feel of the previous designs. Let me know if you'd like to see any changes.

In response to your message. I'm sorry if there's been any confusion, but I haven't been trying to intimidate or scare off any other designers - in fact, it's the opposite. As the client you should get the best from all of the designers on this site - which means that all designers should be striving to create a good variety of unique concepts for you to look at and choose from - not trying to use the same concepts that other designers have already come up with. In this instance I came up with the concept to use the computer screen wearing the stethoscope - this was my idea for your contest. The other designer involved then proceeded to upload their designs which use the same idea that I came up with - the screen wearing a stethoscope - but changed it slightly to put the stethoscope further up the screen and only show half of the image, but essentially it's the same basic concept as mine. I sent them a polite and friendly message asking them to withdraw their entries as they use the same idea as my designs - I wasn't threatening or intimidating. All I was wanting to do was protect my concept and also ensure that you as the client get the best from your contest.

I completely agree with you that the use of a stethoscope in the design is open to anyone to use and the use of this element was never my argument - but it's how this item is used and how creatively it is included into the design that gives each designers their own unique concept - my unique concept was to have a screen wearing it.

I hope you don't mind me responding to this. I just feel it's important to explain the facts and reason behind what happened. I'm a professional and courteous designer and I only ever want to achieve the best designs I can for my clients and I hope after explaining this situation you don't view me or my work in a negative light.

first about the stetascope argument, I hear what you say.we're good. let's forget about it.

I must compliment you, you work is nice.. the new design is really nice but I would like to see a few different concepts to choose from ( not variations from same concep)
I still like 103 more, and that's a problem because I know I should use the network concept.. So let's give it another try.

I think what bothers me is the stetascope roaming freely, add opposed to the previous design it was tidy and builtin..

Hi, no problem. Some new designs uploaded that play off design #103 - have introduced a network switch as another option - the computers are linked to suggest a network. I'm still thinking of other ways to try capture a network aspect and will upload any other options I come up with.

137 is nice and neat. can you add the switch option (it might make it messy though..
146 line the computers straight, also make round "dr computer" it with the blue line like you have on 137.

Hi, first option that shows the switch at the bottom with the blue line linking it to the networked computers.

doesn't look like a switch. it's too much anyway.
anyway to stay with this design but to tie the stetscp withthe "dr computer" just like you did with 103.

137 has a problem that it lookes 2 horns.. please try to blend that in a little more.

Just to check, is it the earpiece section you mean looks like horns? Or is it the way it bends upwards on both ends?

I'll try blend the stethoscope into the text in some way and still keep the concept of the networked computers.

2) stereoscopic ear piece is still not perfect... can let it roam freely on the bottom (just like you have it on 137 on top) but not with such a strong angle down

It was the ear piece. that bothered me.
just thinking, if the ears roam free (down), so should the bottom piece as well. I think.

Hi, thanks for coming back to me. How does this one look? #162 - I've changed the position of both ends to be pointing down (but at a lesser angle). Also changed the position of the screens slightly to make it all sit better.

let go with 181,
but with some changes,

1) make the computer back to the same size as on 100.
2) the wire should still have a wiggle coming out of the blue box to make it look a bit more natural. As long as it doesnt take up the space of the address.

You can divide the address like this and make it in 2 lines. (note my real address..)

Hi, new versions uploaded. Couple of options with different sizes on the address. I've changed the size of the screen and added the wiggly line and I also made the slogan bigger. I'll be out and about today but if you need any other changes just let me know and I'll get them done when I get a chance to get back to my computer.

Im rready to select a winner. Since this is the first time im doing this, I have a few questions;

1) will i be able to contact you via email after you are the winner, if yes;
2) would be willing to do some more designs for me (newspaper ads etc)
3) do I get only the top design? I would love to get from you the first three designs, since I like them all.
They all have there own place where they belong, businees cards, letterheads, and newspaper ads.

Hi, assuming I won, yes once the contest is over you can contact me via email to produce any additional materials you might need. I work with quite a lot of people I met through contests on logo tournament and we just work payment for projects via paypal, so we could work like this.

Rules on logo tournament mean that I can't discuss supplying anything additional (including other versions of the logo) until the contest is over, but I'll be happy to go over your requirements once it is awarded.
