Kandid, thanks for the quick entry. The logo is great but probably not what I'm looking for on this one -- it's a bit too "cartoon-like" for the type of people who will be using it. I looked on your about page and saw your entry for Cloud Telecomputers, which I thought was great -- a bit more simple and refined. Hope that helps. Thank you again!

Cadmium, thanks for the entry. I saw your other entries for FartPower and think that although there is the word "Ass" in the title, that's not the core of the user experience -- it's rather an expression of speech indicating a person's extreme confidence that they are right. So, using a logo that focuses on that is not as interesting as the other things we are trying to communicate: the "I'm right and I'm willing to put my reputation on the line" aspect of it.

All, note also that the name of the company doesn't necessarily need to be inside the logo itself. It could just sit below a logo mark. By doing so, the logo can be used in the site (and also in a smaller size) separate from the words themselves.

Speedlogo, thanks for the entry. Not quite the art style I'm looking for and I also wouldn't put "BYA" in the logo. Thanks again. Please keep the ideas coming -- hopefully my comments back are useful.

Moltonrox, thanks for your post. This is an interesting direction...three points of feedback: 1) the detail is a bit intricate on the hand so it might not scale to smaller size so easily, 2) why is the hand in a fist instead of, say, an outstretched hand ready for shaking? 3) it's using a "Facebook Blue" background which I' a little less interested in.

First, thank you for the entries so far and for your consideration. A couple of points of feedback...hopefully they're helpful.

1) I'm looking for something that has a more refined visual style than what has appeared so far. Some other logos that I think are pretty great are:

Even though these are very different services than BYA, they each have a rather refined visual look -- can be either colorful or somewhat subtle. The font should be a more refined font...less like a comic book.

2) The image should be able to scale to a fairly small size, so that it can be used in a variety of places on the site.

3) I like visual puns, within that refined style. A couple examples of this type appeared in fartpower (https://logotournament.com/contests/fartpower.com) such as #5 (winner) and number 31. Of course, way out on a limb was #16, which was so funny it almost trumps the other considerations (almost).
