Hi. Thanks for the logos. I quite like both of them. I'm not completely sold on the graphic though. I am finding this is the hardest thing to explain to designers - I guess that it's just a case of trying different things and eventually something just stands out.
I like the font and layout of the text. Do you have any other ideas for a graphic or other color suggestions?
I've submitted some other ideas for you to see. #72 is an abstract burst of sunlight, which represents dynamism and energy. #73 is a lighthouse that represents strength, vision, strategy, etc. #74 is simply an abstract symbol that represents energy and motion. The same applies to #75 & #76.
Hi Ted. Thanks for the new logos. #74 is currently my favourite overall. I really like the graphic element in the logo. I'd like to see a few alternatives of colours for the image - maybe just different shades of grey depending on the size of the dot? What do you think? If you were going to introduce a completely new colour, how would you do that? Just change one of the dots to a different colour?
Thanks for the explanation you gave in your comment (eg #72 is an abstract burst of sunlight) - that really helps a lot.
I quite like the colours used in #94 - I think the look great together, but I perhaps they are just a little too boring by themselves?
I do like the font used in all your logos, but could you give me some alternatives to compare?
What options could you suggest for the "consulting" line, other than just the centered alignment? I'd like to see the kerning increased so that C is consulting is flush with the A in activepro and same on the right (so it's like full justification). Otherwise, I would if just left or right justified would make the logo look much different?
Alright. Here are some new versions. #95 explores the idea of the dots changing colors depending their size. On #96 I found another way to have different colors, by having one strand be one color, so on and so on. #97 introduces the color purple and a new font option. #98 uses the symbol I first introduced in #94 but with more cheerful colors, while still keeping it serious. The arrangement for the word "Consulting" is also different in each of these entries, so we can have options to choose from.
Hi Ted. Thanks this is really helpful. Could you try the following:
- text colours and font from #94 - graphic from #97 - graphic colors as 3 separate colors like in #97, but 3 different greys, to match the colors used in #94
Thanks for stretching out the word 'consulting' like you did in #96, but I think that you had it right first like in #94.
Ok, I have just tried cutting and pasting a few logos into Word to see what they might look like on a piece of letterhead or on a business card. I'm concerned that the colors in #100 look fantastic on-screen, but not that great when printed. I'm sure they would look great when professionally printed, but I will still want to print them on a laser printer from time to time. So ... I think the blue and grey is really going to be the best all-round.
Could you try #96, with "consulting" from #74, and a darker blue? Even Red=0, Green=32, Blue=96? The greys in #96 are perfect.
Just another idea, for something completely different, do you think that this might work:
Image much larger, above the word "ActivePro" above the word "Consulting", to make a vertical logo. You might need to use a different font to be able to have a large enough font size but much narrower letters.
Of course. Take a look at #101 and #102. The blue in #101 is slightly darker than the one in #96, and the blue in #102 is the one you requested (R=0 G=32 B=96).
I think #102 is the one. I can't think of anything that I would like to see a bit different, but still open to any other suggestions you have. I'll look at some different ways of using the logo and see if I have anything more to add.
Actually one other thing ... can you think of a way to incorporate the slogan (artisan business solutions) for occasions where I want to include that with the logo?
The text of the slogan in #116 is very small. I would like to use the logo with the slogan in a banner or across the top of a business card where is plenty of width available but not much height. Could you move the slogan to the right of the "ActivePro Consulting" without copying exactly what another designer has done in this regard?
This is my first time using logo tournament and I want to make sure I abide by the rules.
Yes morning here - first thing I do when I wake up is check to see what new logos have appeared overnight.
#122 definately looks better, but I prefer the position of the slogan in #123 and #124. I think #124 is a bit more readable, but I'm not sure that the grey box with sharp corners fits with the image with the dots. Also the grey and white colors in the slogan are a bit too close together.
Hi. #125 is good, but I think it would be better without the italics in the slogan. I prefer the blue slogan too, rather than the lit grey in #126, although maybe the dark grey would also be good.
Could you try a few more fonts for ACTIVEPRO. I think maybe this font could be just a little more interesting?
Sure thing. Take a look at #130 (dark blue slogan with no italics) & #131 (same but with dark gray slogan). #132, #133, #134 & #135 are additional font options for the ACTIVEPRO part.
I can't go past #130 - I think that's the best so far. Certainly the dark blue slogan and no italics looks right to me. As for the font, maybe it doesn't need to be too exciting considering the image that is beside it. Let me think about it for a bit.
Thanks for all your help. I have decided on #130 (I think), or possibly a very small variation, but either way, definately your design.
As part of my rebranding, I will use this logo and elements of it on a website, letterhead, promo items, business cards and report templates. I would like to put together a color pallete with about 8 or so different colors that include the ones used in the logo as well as some others that will look good in combination. Therefore, there are a few things I would like from you if you can, but I understand that this is probably outside of what you would normally do for a client. If you could help with any or all of these I would be grateful:
- what font/(s) are used in the logo - what colors are used in the logo (RGB would be best, or CMYK or pantone) - 5 or so other colors to include in my color palette that look good beside the colors in the logo (again just RGB numbers if you can) - I think that purple you used in another logo, another lighter blue and perhaps an orange and/or yellow and/or green or something to match?
