Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Goodguy - thanks for the submissions. overall, not interested in the either of these. I checked the web 2.0, but I think I need to reconsider. For this logo, I'm not loving the shine (#1) and not crazy about the 3D feel of either. I'm not crazy about the T being used as a cross. A little overdone in my circles. the raised arms and sideways .com intrigue me. I'd be interested in seeing some other treatments of this. Not crazy about the curved look of #3. I'm not crazy about the green and yellow.

I'm going to review my settings and refine them. Thanks for these initial designs so quick. Its getting me to think things through better.

Thanks for the feedback & info. I will see what else I can come up with. Also, just a reminder for future reference: if you click on a design, you can leave comments for that specific designer on their page. Then we get notified that you have commented and can respond quicker. Thanks again!

I'm think I'm hearing crickets here...did I say something to turn off designers? Seriously, if I did, please let me know.

It's very common for contests to be slow until about 2 days left or so, as it will take time to float to the top of the open contest lists for some designers (who view contests by closest ending date). I am confident you will see a barrage of entries in the last 24-48 hours.

Hopefully it will start to pick up any day now!

Just want to reiterate that "fun" isn't the best word that I chose. See the extra notes I added to the brief. Also, I want color - but big time primary and rainbow type colors are NOT what I'm going for. Some red, or orange or blue would be great. Earth tones are great. I wouldn't mind seeing some options black/grays/silvers and a smattering of color. thanks everyone!

I ranked Pracus' #13 at the 2nd place for now b/c I like what he did with the color and text/font. I let him know I wasn't big on the shield. I don't want a bunch of medieval crests showing up. :) In fact, I'm not looking for overt religious symbols at all. My market is 99.9% people who are a part of a church and they actually get tired of seeing the same symbols over and over (but don't tell them I told you this :) )

Thanks for all the work you all are putting into this!

I've been looking at some logo designs examples and these are blowing me away.

http://www.fuelyourcreativity.com/50-kick-ass-logos-for-inspiration/comment-page-2/

There's a quality to many of these that I'm looking for. I like the 2D feel of many of them. On the "fuel your creativity," here are the ones that I like. Not sure how they'd translate to my business, but it might give you some ideas:
"Eden" "Tiny Mouse Design" "tmiint" "design snips" "scentplicity" But I like other ones on that page - if something inspires you, go for it.

On the dzineblog.com site, I like "doghouse brewing company" "catch 5" "foodphotoblog.com"

So there's some ideas...thanks.

Thanks for all the new submissions. I'll be posting individual comments on each of newly ranked designs. but since we're coming down to the wire, I think it's best to make some comments publicly.

#22 - i really like where this one is going with the colors, dark background. Catalyst, your other one, 23 is a color scheme I could run with, too.
#24 - I also like the color scheme on this one.
I'll be working with the marketing guys helping me redesign my site - they'll help me pick out the final design, so a couple color variations are good. They'll know something i don't.

I like the use lowercase stuff of #31. Open to it being all lowercase, but I like some with uppercase.

I'm liking the attempts to come up with a symbol/graphic - but nothing is really grabbing me yet. I like that a few of you have started down the music road - that's 75% of what I do. I wish I could articulate better what I wanted - but i think it will be a "i know it when i see it."

Feel free to shoot me some clarifying questions.

Let me suggest using some element of a guitar in the design if you're looking for a symbol/icon/graphic. Guitar is my main instrument and 1/2 of the workshops I teach are guitar. I have a separate guitar focused site, so I initially wanted to stay away from guitar in my WTC logo design. But my wife talked me into being open to it for a few reasons:
it is my main instrument
it's arguably the most central instrument of modern worship teams
it's more masculine - the majority of the people I work with and my blog followers are men.

I probably wouldn't like a full picture of a guitar - it would need to be more of a shape or elements of a guitar worked into the design. Electric or acoustic...

thanks. Sorry I couldn't come up with all this in the beginning. I guess this is just part of the process.

Taking my kids to the pool. I'll be back to check on things in about two hours (and thoroughly sunburned).
