I like the general concept. I'll get some feedback from out other boardmembers over the weekend.

Color preferences would be the rich yellow and deep blue seen in other, logos (I think there's a link in the main comments for the official michigan colors), but as always I'll let you be the creative judge of what looks best.

The biggest issue I've found in all these designs is what to do with the UMEC. The letters just don't work with standard typography. But we'd like somethign that makes the letters stand out, like the what you see on the logos for film companies and such.

Also, What do you think about adding a rectangular border to anchor the design? It might give it some weight on the page.

Regarding #56, I don't really see it being right for us. Our entertainment focus is more on the film and television aspects than the music industry.

I like how it works with the letter, but I think ultimately we looking for somethign that has some glyph associated with the text. Also feels to me more like something a engineering program would use as their logo, and not very "entertainment"-esc.
