OK, I see what you mean. It took a minute to spot it. In the tagline please change 'systems' to 'system' and that should do it.

Update,

The right pectoral fin needs a highlight, reason if this were to be engraved into wood the space between the TR and Right pec fin would be carved out and leave and odd space by highlight as I have done here resolves that minor issue

I've removed the submission that are not in contentions or previous versions of the current rank

I've emulated how this design would look engraved into wood and it works. Unfortunate I am not able to upload because we are not permitted to show mock-ups.

My advice keep the water :)

I like the updates to the text background. Can you provide this one without the water? I am still debating the overall look with and without it.

Minor update, the Trout Run needs to be a tad heavier I've added a 1 px outline to beef it up.

the space between the T and R ideally should be removed to enhance readability

Removed some of the white space between letter in Cabinets for same reason.

How it looks in B&W

Yes, for the contests I win I supply a full package of files other than the required eps and 3 jpg images.

My package consists of

1. Hi res jpg CMYK

2. Hi res jpg RGB

3. hi res jpg B&W

4. 3 transparent background png files for web use

5. favicon.ico the small 16x16 pixel image used for website bookmarking

6. illustrator file with each element on a separate layer.

The jpg images will have correct aspect ratio for white space around the design, unlike the images required by LT which are based on 1000x800 pixel format which is not suitable for any reproduction purposes.

Agree. though I like working with orange but only as an accent color.

This is my first logo contest. Will the file(s) I receive allow me to use the logo with or without the tagline? I think the tagline is helpful from a marketing standpoint but I am curious if it will be adjustable.

This is cleaner without the water but I still like the context of the fish & water. I think the company name is just as easy to read with the water. I will have to look at them each for a while.

I agree. It's not easy to read in this color.

Scott, Please keep this logo as is but make one without the water and without the tagline. I am interested in what that might look like. Also have you tried one with the tagline the same color as the strip in the trout?

I've refined the trout, lightened up the cabinets text and make the splash water white. The toned down the
orange a wee bit better contrast with grays

Minor update

1. Changed font for Trout Run and a wee bit heavier.

2. Re-positioned the trout.

3. Curved the tagline

4. Added small embellishments

Britepencil, I like the play on woodworking and cabinet building. Clever. I am thinking about it.

Thanks Britepencil, I like the logo. Is it possible make just the mouth of the fish a little smaller. I am very sensitive to the fish looking like a trout. I know this is a representation, but if the mouth gets too big it will look like another type of fish. Also, please correct the spelling of artisans. Finally, could you provide the same logo without the tagline.
