hmmmmm true, vut that would be an issue if the label were cut to shape...but 99% of long neck bottles the neck ring is straight edge...but in tis case the the name is a tad to long..I'll see what i can do...aaaaah I have the solution.
Perhaps you've figured out that there are 2 people leaving comments on this contest. I think I finally understand what my husband is trying to get at with the barley beard comments. I realize this is a graphic and not a realistic photo, but real 2-row barley has one beard per grain on a flat head with 1 row of grains on either side of a central stem. Your grain stems are more representative of a 6-row barley which is fine, but harder to show in a simple graphic. The problem is there are too many beards and they are too short. It looks like grain with a coat of fur :) It's a fine distinction I know, but Montana is full of beer drinkin' farmer's daughters like me who can tell the difference. I didn't much care for the picture he suggested, try this one http://oregonstate.edu/instruct/css/330/five/images/2vs6rowBarleyUMinnesotaExtensionSvce.jpg
#14 I think the barley is much improved, and I definitely prefer the simple blue sky to the purple one. The mountains... well... how do I say this... taken from the Great Mammary Range are they? Mountains can be tricky that way. I considered mentioning it before, but changing the snow to areola brown clinched it. I like this color scheme better, but it might be interesting to try a version with the circle more of a shiny (metallic?) yellower gold.
update reposition he barley...as for my gold colourin gI prefer to emulate reqal gold over the fakey yellow style...my thought son a label would be wo use a simulated gold metalic leaf as is done with other beer labels in either gold or silver finish...whcih would look awesome.
I can show you the fakey gold finish but it wont be any differnet than what other are using so far..let me know
We're getting into fine details here, brushed metal effect is good. I'd like to see a reflected shine on the brushed metal, something like #48 has. My only concern here is metal effect it going to cost a lot more when it goes to print. Advice?
