Discussion

I like where this is going. However the crest seems to be very menacing...Like a death metal music band. The version #107 looks great on the fabric looking background. I like the faded worn feeling of this one. As I said though, something needs to be done on the crest so that it is not so intimidating.

Another small suggestion. I travel all over north america, the United states and Canada chasing tornadoes. You have placed three stars in the top of the logo...seems very american. Could we have the left small star as a Maple Leaf, the Middle star as a Tornado and the right small star remain the same. It may look ridiculous but I would like to see it. What are your thoughts? Would this take away from the design?

Also, can you show some samples that have some different colours other than Red.

No problem, here they are #131 #132 #133,

Honestly with these leaf, star and tornado icon makes the logo too busy and lost its energy, people will be difficult to recognize what they are since their size are too small compared to the overall logo size.

And here is for alternative, didn't have stars so it not seems very american anymore, and more neutral :)

Hi, here is my update for my designs #169 #170 #171.

I make the TORNADO HUNTER .COM down a little bit to give more space at the top part of the crest, so I can make the leaf, star and tornado icon bigger than before, this is really important thing if you want to print the logo, because small part of the design wont look good if you print it to paper or fabric.

The reason I did the tornado icon with rigid look instead of the actual look of a tornado because the same reason as above, it will look good if you print it or apply it to real media, like paper, fabric, metal etc.

This design still look good and the same even if you do it in black and white. It also work well if you use it with a light color in a dark background. This way, no matter how you use it, it will still look the same and will still be recognized as such.

Thanks,
Edwin

Hi Edwin, I have adjusted the rankings. I have had dozens of my associates and friends look at all the logo options and NOBODY likes the crest idea. I am the only one apparently. I have adjusted the rankings to reflect some of the more simple designs. I know there is not much time, but if you have any ideas that are much more simple and do not involve the crest please post them. I am sorry for the change.

Hi Greg,

Here is my new design, I replace the O with a compass. I'm choosing compass because it highly correlated with wind and direction, hunting and chasing need direction, and a compass represent it. Hope you like it.

Thanks,
Edwin
