We like the highlighting in the mountains in entry 4 and the emphasis of Rock Life in both, we are not thrilled with the people or the sunset in either design. We are looking for something that translates well to business cards, the internet and promotional items like coffee mugs, water bottles, etc.
Although my partner currently has 2 entries ranked higher, your entry #5 is still my favorite. I like the the more rugged design and feel it captures the brand better. Apparently he prefers more sleek and I prefer more rugged, maybe if you were to slightly refine it, it would appeal to him more.
Maybe try some different fonts and reduce the impact of the mountain a bit, it seems a bit too big and clumsy more like an actual cartoon than a logo. Feel free to completely deviate from what you started with and go another direction if you would like, I don't think we are convinced that any of the submissions are completely on point.
Like the new ideas try different fonts on the Rock and Life, or mix caps and lowercase letters, in 20-23 we like the way the symbol can kind of stand on its own. Thanks for trying on 17-19 but those didn't really work out the way I was hoping, although I think they would look great on a t-shirt.
