I have purposely omitted the tag line, due to the fact that "Design Build" would be redundant since it's already part of the company name...

Ok... I made a note about revising the tag line. Is there a way to suggest the smaller house is transforming into the larger house? Your design inspired that thought...

Thank you for the feedback. I've revised the design. The design is based on a morph idea. Morphing is changing one object into another...similar to science fiction or horror movies. In this case I've chosen a brick that is transformed into a house in 3 steps

1. the brick
2. taking shape and
3. the finished design/house/project

I have also taken the liberty of changing the tag line..the latest revision is "Construction, Remodeling, Landscape". to me it does not read right..so how about

"Construction, Remodel, Landscape"

#52 - I understand about the "remodel" thing... I thought about that too, but it looks like bad grammar on the sign. It has to be Construction - Remodeling - Landscape. I like the concept. The logo is way too big and the by-line is way too small. Remember that we want people to know what we do as soon as they see the layout. Can you do a few variations of this? Maybe something a little softer... where the "stages" blend into each other? Also, I don't think I'm a fan of blue because it's too cold... we want to be warm and friendly. Thanks!!!

This was my first concept, but after designing it I re-read the brief. Having developed the other concepts though I was not 100% please about those design they were posted. Feedback is constructive which is greatly appreciated.

I should have gone with my gut instinct even if you feel it's the wrong direction according to the brief. As we all know Stonebrook screams a certain logo design and I realize you are trying to avoid this...so how do I bring the direction the design should go and marry it with your needs.

This design embodies both my vision and your goals, the pavers refers to planning to reach a goal which is the finish project an din this case a house symbol (we can swap that with something else). The main icon shape is Stone which refers to natural building materials and the environment.

Colours are tentative and we will change according to your preferred palette

I get the idea - and in a way, you're right. The only problem is that Stonebrook is a made-up name. There is nothing around here named Stonebrook and nobody has any kind of reference to the name. We chose the name because it combines strength (stone) with creativity (brook).... maybe that concept might inspire something???

If our company had a logical reference to Stonebrook we could probably make #90 work - we just don't have that.

I appreciate all of the time you're spending on the morphing concept. It's interesting, but I'm not sure where to go with it either.

I don't give up that easy...the color are easily adapted though I am liking the warmth of these tones...and if you do decide to chose one of my selection we can continue the tweaking process until you are happy with the design. I have exceptional Designer-Client relations and references are available upon request or take review of my website

See where persistence gets you? It gets you a number 2 ranking!

I like this a lot... The reason I'm still favoring the number 1 ranking is because the building symbol could be either a house or a business. #157 screams house (in a good way...) but closes the door to any commercial work in the future. What can we do to fix that?

I like the layout - it's very clean, very high-end and easy to read. The colors are very warm, and the circle is friendly. Great work!

I was just working on that idea...the house object is not incorporated into the larger building object..it is design to be half and adds to the visual impact as part of the larger structure. The landscaping components is still intact and is not part of the outer ring. I've manage to symbolize a number of elements that covers the 3 basics, Commercial, Residential and landscaping

To clarify any doubts about the design versatility here is a gray scale version

Hmm.. I see where you're going with it - I don't think the layout is working. Also, in every version my eye immediately goes to the tree, insinuating that we only do landscape.... any thoughts?

you may see the arcs being pixelated this is normal due to the compression ration set by Logo Tournament to compress images to reserve bandwidth..I assure you they are smooth

I extended if you wanna keep chuggin' away... I'm gunna have to pass on #220/221... it's just way too big. Also, if we were to do commercial, think "strip mall" (I don't know if they call them that in Canada... like where a Subway sandwich shop would be...) as opposed to a high-rise.
