squid.byLogo Design Contest

Social collaborative video: a web-based service for users to collaboratively create simple videos.

The logo should show up well against a light blue, specifically RGB 105/210/231. I've been using two oranges (250/105/0 and 243/134/48) but am open to other colors that look good as well.

Looking for colors that suggest creativity, fun, and energy.

The logo should include a squid of some kind--but the squid should be "cute" and "fun" without being *too* cartoonish or childish. I chose a squid as my mascot for several reasons, including the fact that (1) squids are unusual for branded logos and (2) I like the metaphor of the squid using its tentacles to pull video clips together (since squid.by is all about social, collaborative video.

For this contest, I'd like a logo that incorporates (a) a squid and (b) the word squid.by. Please keep in mind that after the contest is finished, I will create different versions of the squid to use throughout the website, perhaps by adding silly hats and facial hair! Please see the attached images to get a sense of what I mean. Temporarily, I've been using the squid from Super Mario Brothers.
