Discussion

#14 is looking cool with the overlaid S-W. I wonder if there's a way to make the S a bit more obvious?
Could you try a bolder font in the logo name too? Something nice and chunky. Also, I can't tell what that little smudge is under the .com. Is that something?
Thanks! Nice work.

Liking #15, and the switch with .com on the top. I prefer the curvier S in #15 over #16, if that helps any. Looks cool. I like the direction this is going in. Only thing I might suggest is to take a look at the current logo and see if you think of anything that would resemble that a little more? Just for branding purposes-- new is good, but if we can get something somewhat reminiscent of the old logo that might be nice as well.

#18-20 You read my mind. I wondered what it would look like with an outline around it. I'm really just curious to see what it would look like with the two words stacked like in the old logo. And, could you try a darker red? Thanks a bunch.

#23 looks good. I like the nice chunky font in #22, although it looks like it might be the same font, just in lower case? It'd be great to fatten up the font in #23, and maybe tighten up the spacing a tad so the letters and words are nudged right up next to each other. I think we used 'Impact' font in the old logo and kind of like the way the S curls under (like it does in your red S.) Maybe you'd have some suggestions or alternatives that have that character. The color shading you added in the red S looks great.

Dang, that was quick. I know I'm going back on what I commented last time, but I actually like the spacing between the SW logo and the text as it is in #23, so there's a little dip in the outline between them. And maybe so the letters look stouter, keep the width, but let's see how it looks if you shrink the height to 70-80%.

#28 - Sweet! Is the W in the logo/emblem a different font? That'd be the only thing I can say right now is maybe see a variation or two with that. Maybe try using the same font as in the text (just the W) or some different ideas. It's looking good.

I like that W better in #36. Couple things I'm curious to see: if you could bump up the size of the W so it "overhangs" the top curvy part of the S just a bit (like in #28, #23, etc). And, I know I said I liked the stacked words, but the more I look at #22 I kind of like it in one line, too. I'm on the fence between them. Can you try using the Impact font in lower case in one line like that? Sorry if I'm being fickle. Appreciate it!

Both the stacked and the horizontal versions can be supplied, so you would have logo options for various applications. Thanks.

That would be great. I really like #41. Just one minor change-- take out the space between the words. That looks really good.

THanks for the new entry #50. How would that look with the black outline you had on #36?

Thanks very much! I like the border on that. Can you try making it a couple pixels thicker (do you even work in pixels?)? Also, can you add some of the shading like in #45 so the red is darker? This is looking nice.

#67 - This is great. I like that it's a little darker and seems like there's a little more 3D-ish-ness in the graphic. I like the font in this one, too.

Thanks for these new designs. It's a nice twist on the theme. It's pretty neck and neck among the top 2-3 designs and I'm trying to leave comments on them in case you want to see what we're thinking over here. I'm getting opinions from a couple people and here's what we came up with re: #67 and #71:
Definitely like the new 'S' in your graphic. The one used in #53 I kept thinking of the Stanford logo for some reason.
I like the oval shape, but am not opposed to a circle either. The only thing one person said is that it reminded them of a football and looked kind of 'collegiate sports team' because of that. I can kind of see that, but not all that much. The one thing that stands out a bit more in #71 (compared to #67) is it shows a little more of that rounded 3-D surface effect toward the top which stood out as something everyone liked.
I said it before, but this is my fave font so far. And I think it's just Arial bold or something. Nice n' chunky, but clean and simple.
Other than that, there are only 1-2 very minor changes I'd like to get on the final design.
Thanks again, very much!
