I still like your logo, but we also like the concept of 'thrill of victory'. See new general comments and the comments I made for the logo I just ranked #1. I'm not sure which direction we will go on this yet.

Hi. this is another entry. concept behind the design of the icon in the middle is a stylized 'V' for victory and an abstract for a person raising his hands. text were made to look like a scoreboard. feedback will be highly appreciated. thanks.

Really good work. We really like your take on 'thrill of victory'. We hadn't thought of the iconic take that you used here. Very clever. A few thoughts:

1) since the word 'reviews' is part of our name, it needs to be incorporated into the logo more so it's clear that it's just as important as the other two words. We are okay with it being on a separate line, if need be, but the way you have it, it looks like a slogan, not part of our name.

2) we're not sold on the scoreboard idea, there's too much going on here.

3) I would suggest re-working the text of the logo, trying the icon both in the middle as you have it and to the left of our name. Also, the colors are not quite there. I would mind seeing both a logo with better colors/design and also a version that is more simplistic, perhaps just white with some slight design like covers.com, espn.com, accuscore.com

Great work again!

Not bad, but because you put the text in its own design element it is fighting with the 'victory' design element. I think we need to either make the words just text with a small amount of design flair (again, like the 3 examples I mentioned -- covers.com, espn.com and accuscore.com). Another option is to integrate the 'V' into the logo. A logical place would be to replace the 'V' in Review. I would like to see an option that does that in addition to a version where the 'V' design is to the left of a plainer text logo.

Still very busy and now the V is lost since it overlaps Betting. Why not two options:

1) get rid of background badge look and have all three words on one line with the V icon used in the V for Reviews. In this case I would try to work on the font/style choice since it will need to be the focus without all of the badge colors and hoopla.

2) similar to (1), but use two lines. Sports Betting on first and Reviews below. Reviews might need to be larger if it's on it's own. It doesn't need to be as wise as SportsBetting, but close.

I would like to see a variation of this -- the words of our domain on one line with the V icon where the 'v' is in review. The problem with your version is that the text is too plain and there is nothing unique or interesting about it. I also think it would be good if the word 'betting' were a different color. Last, I like the more 3d version of the 'V' icon that you used in the first few variations you did for us.

Perhaps you can try to use the initial 'V' version in Gold or Silver, have the word 'Betting' match this color, and have the words 'Sports' and 'Reviews' use the other color. To be honest, we love the 'V' but the rest of your stuff has not been great. I really don't want to be giving you such detailed advice, but what you have just done missed the mark so I feel we I need to do something to get back on track.

revisions. got a question though. is it safe to assume that all designs should have all the words all in one line?

The type style is not very clear or professional from our point of view. I'm not sure what has happened here.

do you prefer serif fonts like the one you have in your mockup? do you want it loud or a little more conservative?

FYI, we all like your #11 in terms of professionalism and quality. It's just that it doesn't convey the Victory at all and the word Sports is too big a part of it (the other words are more important). I'm not suggesting that you adapt this one to the other needs. I'm just pointing out that it has a great sleek professional look while the others might meet our needs but are not done as well in our opinion.

I'm concerned that our comments are throwing you off because when I look at your portfolio I see so many quality logos that are very high quality and professional. For some reason when you try to do things for us it just doesn't meet the same level as others you have done.

We prefer san-sarif type fonts.

Okay, we're getting down to the wire but are still not really happy with any one logo. We had a meeting and the direction we like best is your #42. Here's why:

1) we like the iconic V because a) we can use it for our favicon, we can use it to replace the 1-5 stars we show next to each review and perhaps we can use it on award badges we might give to sites.

2) our name is too long in three words when it's all spelled out next to each other. We're not 100% sure on this, but the consensus tells us that we need to have 'Sports Betting' on one line and 'Reviews under it.

Here's what we don't like:

1) We don't like the star within the text -- get rid of stars!
2) the two lines are too close together, the V is getting squished into the upper words.
3) we like the stylized V better from logo #24.
4) we don't like the font. I know I have mentioned simple, but what I meant by that is a serif font and no cartoonish look. Many of the fonts people have been using look like very cheap fonts or are cartoonish. They are not strong, sleak, clear, etc.
5) we should probably try some nice effects on the font to make them really stand out -- slight gradient or glass effect (not reflection though, that is overdone). Maybe a slight drop shadow.

I wouldn't mind seeing the top line with 'SPORTS BETTING' be a little smaller font size than the word 'Review' which is under it. Also, while I do like the idea of having the 'V' used as the V for review, I wouldn't mind seeing a variation where the V is to the left of either the word Review or both lines.

Sorry for so many comments, but I really don't think we have changed much. What seems to keep happening is that we like something, give comments, but the future designs drift farther and farther away from what we're looking for. We're trying to pull back and get it right. I don't think we're so far off!

Now we're getting somewhere. Great work. I like what you did and want to show it to the team, but can I see two simpler version as so:

Get rid of background behind the logo, so it's just the icon on the left and the text. The text style is good, here are the two variations on this:

1) keep the gold V icon and change the color of the word 'REVIEWS' to gold. Keep the gradient and also the dropshadow of the text.

2) change the gold V icon to the silver V icon you used in one of your first designs. Change the color of 'SPORTS BETTING' to gold, and leave REVIEWS as white/silver as is.

I think you misunderstood me. I wanted you to get rid of the background behind the text so that it's transparent and appears right on our blue background. I also think you went too far with the gradient effect within the fonts. So I really wanted you to just do what you did before, but without the badge concept behind the fonts. The logo would just consist of the V to the left and the fonts. The fonts would have a similar effect that they had in the logos we liked in the rankings.

This is what I wanted. Thanks. To be honest, as of now we like the one that the new guy put in, but it's not a consensus. We'll let you know how it turns out. We really, really appreciate all the work you did.

thanks. but i think his concept is very similar to what i have already been building on. i'll leave it up to your discretion.
