The concept of this logo incorporates the sense of motion and vibrancy, which are both important messages that are representative of the organization and its involvement in the community. The outline of Scotland (which could be seen as an abstract "footprint" of where the members are from/the past) and the solid maple leaf placed on top speaks of who the members are now. The organic look to this logo is suitable for the younger crowd that the organization is appealing to, while remaining timeless.

Very similar in concept to the previous submissions. The main difference is that there is "a bit of Scotland in the maple leaf (Canada)", which represents an "overlapping" in the two cultures for this group of individuals. It could also be stated that there's a visual "bond" and "closeness" between the two symbols which gives justice to the slogan "happily Scottish, proudly Canadian".

Thank you, lb. Nice leaf. Nice typeface. Excellent colours.

Let's work with #100 because I like the position of the maple leaf in relation to the name.

1. Ditch the map because we need a simple image that is easy to replicate and easy to recognize.

2. Perhaps show a (large, obvious) kilt pin as the leaf stem. Or you could try reproducing the kilt bag for the stem, as on one of the other entries, I think by Ape.

3. I like what you have done with the tagline in #103, stretching it across the name.

Go for it! This is now one of my top 6 picks. It's just a matter of who steps up to the plate in the time we have left, by integrating the best components of each of my favourites. I will start ranking them in about one hour and it is now 8:00 am EST Easter Sunday.

Thank you LB!!

This is beautiful. I have my work ahead of me now deciding on the winner. This design would be more effective if the yellow were more defined and there were more contrast between the red and the blue.

One more thing: when you submit the design, use a bigger file like APE does so it is easy to see, larger.

Sorry, LB, the above comment was about #121. The pin won't work so don't follow that design anymore.

Hi Laurie,

Thanks again for your feedback, I've revised #121. I made the red brighter and the blue deeper to give it more contrast, is this heading in the right direction?

As for the "size" of the file...all files seem to have to be uploaded at 350px x 280px, so I don't think I can change the size. I have included a version where I've made the leaf bigger and therefore changed the position of the maple leaf in relation to the name (see #132).

I hope you enjoy the revised versions and good luck deciding on the winner!

Thanks again, LB. I like #130 and #131. Nice changes.

When reproducing this on our material, the thin yellow line will not show well. Make it thicker, more defined.

Delete the period after the tagline.

Gotta go!!

#155 is with the above revisions (made the yellow line thicker and more defined and deleted the period after the tagline.

I also started to play with incorporating the thistle but it seems like you aren't interested in the concepts I've recently uploaded.

If there's anything I can do to make the logo even better, let me know! Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you, LB, for your hard work on these new designs. Yes, the thistle image is too complex. I like what you did with 131 and 155.

Stay tuned. I will know hopefully in a couple of hours.
