Hello tkhoury!

Please forgive me for not writing to you sooner. I have finally made time in my schedule to offer some feedback.

I selected your design as #1 because I found it to be the most evocative and representative of what SongSeeds.org is all about -- taking the seed of the original inspiration and nurturing it so that it can sprout and then bloom forth. The musical notes blossoming forth and then being released to the world (in your musical dandelion) is an excellent choice. Thank you all the thought you have put into this.

Here are some adjustments I would like to see: 1). Please shorten the green stem of the dandelion to make the image more compact. If you would like to reduce the size of the musical notes by a bit so that the "head" of the dandelion is not so wide, that would be good, too. 2). Can you turn the "dot" in the .org into a brown seed, or a green seed that is a little more noticeable as the seed from which the dandelion is springing. This may be too over-the-top and obvious of a reference, but I would like to see what a delicate treatment of the symbolism might look like. 3). Please put the words SONG and SEED together so that there is no space. I would also like to see a thicker, rounder font that is still elegant, but powerful and inviting (if that makes sense! lol). 4). I can see that you are designing the color of
SONGSEEDS.ORG
Growing Music from the Ground Up
so that the brown color represents the ground from which the seed is planted and grows. Another excellent choice. To experiment a bit more and add some additional color, I would like to see the slogan: GROWING MUSIC FROM THE GROUND UP in a vibrant turquoise blue or greenish blue. It can symbolize the water underneath the ground that is necessary to prepare the soil for inspiration. 5). I like the slogan is all capital letters, but I WOULD like to see some experimentation with SongSeeds.org. I understand that having the name is all caps prevents the "g" from hanging down into the slogan, but let's experiment with lower case:
songseeds.org and SongSeeds.org etc.

I am REALLY looking forward to what you come up with.
Thank you for your good work so far!

Hi Matthew,

Thank for the detailed comment... You have a great imagination and reasonable comments.
My good work is a reflection to a great brief.

Good Morning Tareq,

Thank you for your modifications. I feel as if we are getting very close. It helps to see some variations on a theme (to borrow a musical term) to help select the design that "works" as a singular image. Could we try the following "experiments"?

1). #177 with the "o" in "org" in lower case. And please show me two versions of this -- one with the turquoise that you have chosen for the slogan and another version with the slogan using the same color or green that you use for the dandelion stem. Speaking of the stem, could you make the stem just a little thinner -- somewhere between the thinness of the original taller image and the present image?

2). Please try the same thing with #176, except use the style for the slogan in #177 where the first letter in each significant word is capitalized.

If you don't think that the green is the best choice for the slogan, you are welcome to use the brown as you did in the original image with an "unbolded" font to differentiate it from the bolded brown in songseeds.org.

Thank you sir!

All the Best,

Matthew

Good Afternoon Tareq,

Thank you for the modifications to your lovely design. It is both elegant and evocative. Everything I am looking for in a logo to represent this important movement in music and arts from top-down patronage to bottom-up, decentralized support for the arts.

A few more adjustments and then we will be finished, please:

1). Adjust the look of the slogan so that capital letters are only on the important words, e.g. : Growing Music from the Ground Up -- the words "from" and "the" would be lower case.

2). I would like to see a few more color combinations to make my final choice. a). Can we try coloring the slogan with the same gray color used for the musical petals of the dandelion? b). I would like to see the dot in ".org" in brown and also gray to see what the best color combo would be. Please send me those combinations with both the slogan in green and in gray.

So to reiterate, I would like to see the following combinations: Green slogan with a brown dot above it; Green slogan with a gray dot; Gray slogan with a brown dot; and Gray slogan with a gray dot.

Thank you, sir!
