Dear Revotype,

Thank you for your initial submissions. I feel that of all the designers so far, you GET it when it comes to illustrating the mission of SongSeeds.org -- "Growing Music from the Ground Up" with the planting seeds that tune into full-fledged songs. I am most attracted to Entry #2. Could you please work on a "rounder font" for SongSeeds.org? I think I would prefer to see .the org part larger in relation to SongSeeds. I'd also like to see you experiment with a little more color. Could you also try placing the slogan underneath SongSeeds.org? Thank you, and keep up the good work. Matthew\Mateo

Hi Mateo :)

Thanks for sharing more feedback, i will improve entry #2 with more color and rounder option fonts i can offer, sorry i was so excited with the concepts i came up i forgot to include the slogan, be sure concept #2 will be better after some changes sometimes what really counts is arriving the concept then the final result will arrive during the contest with your guide and my expertise together, i personally love music and i can't design without it, asap i will be submitting new versions, thanks again.

Hola Rick!

Wow...you are prolific, hermano! Glad to hear that music plays such an important role in your life. Hard to imagine our lives without music and art, right?

I'm seeing some good evolution here. Let's try combining the graphics from Entry #15 with the font of Entry #13 for the logo and slogan. I really like the rectangular patch of ground that the notes/sprouts emerge from. Is there anyway to make the slogan: Growing Music from the Ground Up any larger without overwhelming the logo? Maybe use the font type and size of Entry #17 as an example. It's easier to read that way.

Here's another point of feedback. I REALLY like Entry #27, in fact I think I will move it to my #2 choice. It would make a fantastic poster. I'm still open to it being the logo of choice. It's a cool design especially with your choice of negative space with the word "Song" . I also like how the slogan goes all the way across the logo. Looks good that way.

Appreciate all your creative energy and enthusiasm.

Have a beautiful night!

Hola Mateo

I really love my job... so creativity and enthusiasm always are good companions, your feedback is the most important thing just like applause to a musician when play they can let us know if we are going in the right direction.

Ok Mateo let me try the adjustments and combinations you ask for and right today will be submitting new releases of the entries already mention to work with, thanks for your kind words.

Hi Mateo

According to LT rules the concept of seeds turning into notes or musical leaves is my creation, unfortunately i did my entries before you realize it was a perfect concept to describe the logo you are looking for, many elements still can be explore apart from the ones i used (for example, flowers, threes, musical instruments).

By this i can say a musical note with leaves together are not the unique element that may describe "song concept" this rule of protecting a concept is what really gives a designer the energy and the enthusiasm to participate in any contest. Is just like if you create a song, i can give many examples... if that song is a hit... and successful... would you be interested about giving away your legal rights on the song you created?

Client code of conduct by LT

"We require that you do not ask one designer to use elements or concepts from another Designer. The general rule is that, if a Designer was the first to submit the idea, they essentially own that concept or idea for the remainder of the contest. Requests or ideas you have put in your contest Brief are fair game and open to everyone. Concepts that are considered obvious will also be fair game, for example: a dog & cat for a pet hospital, shopping bag for an e-commerce company, a tooth for a dentist, initials for a lawyer, etc. "

You can find it here: https://logotournament.com/help/clientcodeofconduct

I really want to please you and i am committed to your contest, i can give you all the variations you may need changing typography, colors and style. But i need your feedback. Please let me know your thoughts, i am willing to work on this project as long as it need it.

Best Regards,

Rick

Hi Rick,

I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. I haven't been able to spend much time online the past 2 days due to other commitments. I will be back online this evening for a longer time and will be able to send you more details on variations I would like to see.

I apologize if I made you feel that I was infringing on your original design of having the seeds sprouting "musical plants". That was certainly not my intent. I remain committed to your design concepts -- which is why I have kept your design in my Top 3 this entire contest.

I look forward to communicating with you this evening.
Sincerely,
Mateo

Hey Rick,
I am finally back in the loop after having to take the last few days off. I am sorry it took so long to get back with you.

This is what I would like to see: 1). Entry #35 with the same coloring, but making the font of songseeds.org a little bit thicker. 2). Please stretch the slogan “Growing Music from the Ground Up” all the way across the bottom of songseeds.org 3). I would like to see one version with the seeds and sprouts the way already have it on #35 and another version with the updated version of the seeds and sprouts as shown by #101.

Speaking of #101, can you show me a version that has the “song” directly above “seeds”? I realize that you will have to re-position the seeds and sprouts to perhaps go in an opposite direction to be able to accommodate the new position of the word “song”. It would be interesting to see that adjustment. You could make the .org vertical the way you have it in #27 to take up that extra space that will be left behind by the re-positioning of the word "song".

I look forward to seeing your work!
