My submission. clean fun and non-food or specific with 2 optional taglines. A word mark style allows a company to expand with the problem hows does the logo suite a growing company.

Is the service province specific or cover all provinces?

Hey Scott,

Like the word mark. Good thought. I also like how, depending on spacing/use, the wordmark can be included or excluded.

The service is Canada wide (delivered through Canada Post).

Hey Scott,

Just wondering if you have any further ideas for how to make these ideas a little more unique/specific to our business. I like the clean look but my concern is that the actual design doesn't speak to our business. The wordmark clearly does but it would be great to have a design that's really geared toward us.

by bad keep hitting the wrong key twice now,

Other than using fruits and leaves and other industry relevant imagery which as already been done by other designers. My design direction is directed to your clients as a subliminal message, which is finishing your product and re-ordering more. hence the bite mark and crumbs.

Design #138 the reason I used the b for 2 reason fist b is for bite, the second is the crumbs are an abstract period which makes a statement.

I could easily follow what everyone else is doing but that's not me I present an option hopefully that option resonates with you and your vision for the brand identity.

No matter what the out come I am looking forward to trying out your service.

Hey Scott,

Thanks for the quick reply. Truthfully, I'm not happy with the other designs I've seen from the other contributors. They're too generic and say little to nothing about our brand. My background is in marketing (7yrs) so I have somewhat of a decent eye for design. I have to appease my partners as well so it's a bit of a give and take in terms of the rankings.
The more I look at logo designs, the more I gravitate to these unique/personalized styling such as the ones seen here:
http://www.downgraf.com/inspiration/weekly-logo-design-inspiration-39/
I know those are likely not possible through a contest like this as these have many hours put in and a lot of back and forth between designer and client.
To get a better idea of what we do, you can check out our current site (the name and layout is being changed):
www.four925.com

I definitely don't want you to follow what the others are doing. Those designs, for the most part, could easily have another brand in there and still work.

the link you provided is good example and I do work that way. I start any project from paper, hence my company slogan "design starts with an idea and a blank sheet" I'm never without pencil/pen and paper.

#138 did start out as a sketch then translated to vector. My other deigns are in the same category from th example link.

I'll try a retro look and feel see how that goes. I'll need regular feedback to develop

The example link is just a start. I love many designs throughout the series, not necessarily page 39 that I sent over. Their attention to detail and uniqueness to the brand are what catch my attention.

One thing I miss with crowd-sourcing is actually having a real conversation. Before I begin what are you plans for this contest?

#168

I am constantly drawn to the word hub to me that's the hook, the letter U represents the custom packages your customer. The idea is to focus on them and the convenience of getting the snacks they want and when. My self included other than going to a bulk food stores that's depressing. I think a company that can focus on product presentation, and quality without all the over bloated and less then stellar selection of brick and mortar outlets well do extremely well.

1. what are the expected turn around times for delivery.

2. to the door or postal outlet pickup

Exactly. Having the one on one interactions and feedback makes the process much easier. When we did our original branding, we had an ACD friend of mind do all the work.

168 is quite interesting. Truthfully, I thought the quality of response I would get from a contest such as this would be much higher. This isn't my preferred way to work, as mentioned above. I'd love to nail down a logo for this iteration of our company. One that feels unique but that accurately depicts the fact that we offer consumers their choice of nutritious and delicious snacks. Orders and packed and shipped within a day or two of being placed and then sent through Canada Post. For example, if you order from within Toronto, you'll probably get your snack box within 3 days (to your door).
I think #168 is getting much closer. It starting to feel like a logo that represents us rather than just being a font based iteration.

Snack Hub should stand for your one-stop resource for your snacking needs. Whether you're looking for functional items or just want amazing tasting options, we have what you need.

#186 is an idea I had sketch out and it's a trace of that rough sketch. I am liking the H as an abstract box, but it needs refinement

your thoughts?

Hey Scott,

Sorry for the lack of reply.

So, a couple of things. We can't use #138 or #167 as one of our competitors has their logo as a name with a bite out of it. In such a small market, it's tough to have a similar logo. #130, #131 and #137 are, to be honest, very similar to Amazon so we'll stay away from that.

#188 is getting there but the 'H' still looks off to me.

I guess that leaves us with #135. I wish there was more to it but I understand all this work is being done on spec. You're going to be the winner of this contest so I'd love to hear if you had any thoughts to how #135 could be expanded on.
If not, no problem.

Thanks

we'll you have good eye #135 is my fave and I am not just saying that. The reason this works it's familiar and approachable main identity. You had mentioned the company would be expanding it make sense that a non item specific design would be the right direction, #135 does accomplish that.

Hey Scott,
Congrats on the win.
When you upload #192, is it possible to upload the files with and without the tagline under?

Thanks!
