Here's a few design thoughts that might help:

1. Hopeful
2. Humble
3. Respectful and credible
4. Simple and clean (maybe 2.0 ish)
5. Easy on the eye
6. Not too much detail
7. Current

Thanks again for your work. Looking forward to your new ideas. Also, to save time, focus on the basics (font, layout position, etc), and once we find something we really like, you can put more work into refining it.

Here's another idea:

If Walmart (walmart.com) was going start their own community church called (ev free), what do you think their logo would look like?

Or, if Walmart was your client and you were designing this logo for them, what would you do?
