Hi David, Here is my design idea for your review. I took the idea of how Frank basically raped and pillage the Dodgers (like pirates would) and so I made a skull & crossbones type logo out of bats and a baseball as your icon of fighting back. I also added jail bars over the top of the baseball, as if to literally say: "Set Our Baseball Free!"

This particular version has some highlights and shading effects, which would work great for websites and other things. However, since the design will be going on a lot of t-shirts, I will post a solid flat-color version next as well so that you can better see how it would look once silk-screened onto shirts. I also have a cool idea I will try to implement for the shirt design, which will give the logo a cool vintage/weathered look on the shirts.

Here it is in all solid colors, which is exactly how it would look on t-shirts...

And here it is on the powder blue, so you could basically sell royal, powder or white shirts!

I just now saw your comments on the main page about the font, so I will rework my design accordingly!

I have posted a couple of revised designs, based on your feedback in the general area:

#8 is without red tape and #9 includes it. I didn't want to include too much of it, or else the word "DODGERS" would be tricky to read behind it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these entries!

Here is how it would look on powder blue shirts with the distressed/vintage look!...

Here is a 2-color version of my last logo variants. This would allow for very fast and affordable printing when it comes to shirts, as it would just be two colors every time!

GoodGuy Design ... I like your concept of the skull and crossbones. However, something about it is not quite relaying the idea that Frank McCourt is a crook. I'm not sure what that should look like. Maybe it should look messier to illustrate the mess that he has put the franchise in. Along the lines of "Frankrupt" I thought of Frank McCROOK!

The red tape versions are not working for me - they look too much like a ribbon hanging over the words rather than a tangle-ment of red tape.

We are definitely headed in a good direction with you. Thanks!

I finally have a revised design that I am happy ready for your review! The words are stacked on both ends, so they are still legible but they are pretty much a mess. I also added a bat logo I came up with: one bat says "McCROOK" and the other says "FRANKRUPT". They are hard to see in a small preview like this, but they are very legible when at full size. I will see what other variations I can come up with and post more ideas as I finalize them!

This one is only 2-colors again!...

Here is a more simplified (yet messier feeling) design, still as just a 2-color print on shirts!...

These designs are very well done. Thank you. Can you combine the design elements of #12 & #20 into one? I like the distressed look and type treatment of 20 and the general design of #12. Also, what do you think of a subtle change to the laces on the baseball to appear as dollar signs? Is that too much? Last, we can use McCrook because I cam up with that but Frankrupt is someone elses idea and should not be used.

Sounds great, David. I will get started on this right now. More designs to come soon!...

Here is a revised entry, combining the elements from both of those you mentioned. I have a couple more variations I will post in addition to this one as well.

This one has the red added, so it would be a 3-color design instead of 2. Also, let me know if you want to keep the "McCROOK" on the bats or not. Personally, I love the name, as it's very clever and sums it all up perfectly, but we can drop it if you feel the design is too cluttered.

Also, I've been exploring the notion of adding dollar signs for the stitches on the ball (another great potential idea), but with these layouts it gets pretty lost behind everything. I will see if I can make it work though!

For this one, I made the "McCROOK" into an emblem on the bats (almost like the Louisville Slugger logo you see on a lot of MLB bats)...

Here it is with the dollar sign idea incorporated. I will see if I can rework the design so that they are more visible!...
