The word represents aggressive, conquest, war. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer A sword can be interpreted in several ways the 3 listed above but also protection, guarding defending.Design #100 a stylized sword in the form of a lighthouse represents, protection, guarding, safe passage, a beacon 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Scott, your comments are very insightful! And I like how you've gone outside of the box. In fact, we never even thought of a lighthouse concept, but you are right. We may want to explore this concept indeed. Thank you for submitting! 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer When I enter a contest I am I one man " focus Group " 1. what is the industry2. the demographic3. what imagery comes to mind with certain design elements in this case swords, shields etc and how they my be interpreted by potential clients5. is the design approachableI use this 5 step approach with each submission I upload, if I have doubts then asking questions helps resolve any confusion. If I upload a design and later decide I do not like it I will tell you and give reasons why. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #117Embraces your concept with a stylized shield. The design evokes strength, security and trust while being approachable. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer got NI'd even before I finished typing hahaha no worries. 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Oh, I see what you mean, after you explained it ;). Still, we are pleased to add you to our top five designers because you bring a thoughtful approach to your creativity. We're looking forward to the next stage. 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Your house concept is holding as a top three contender. Interested to see some variations (doesn't have to include sword) before final voting begins. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer Design updates with color option. The lighthouse is now shinning out to sea which is westward (Pacific) 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Nice! We'll be sticking with the warm colors but we're liking the concept. 10 years ago mariakeckler Client The "financial group" font feels like it doesn't complement the rest of the design. Can you tweak a bit before I present to the rest of the team? 10 years ago mariakeckler Client .... Also color variation of font? Like Sentry Pacific in the burgundy, etc 10 years ago mariakeckler Client We like #140 too but with the light house in burgundy. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #143 update Burgundy on gold, I've added a small wave toward the bottom to fill in that space, any this will apply to previous and future updates. 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Looks good. Can you modify fonts on #143: Sentry Pacific is too tight together needs to be spread out more. And colored burgundy. .... or a mixture of Sentry (burgundy) and Pacific in Gold. Financial group font doesn't complement design. Perhaps use also serif ... or a more classic sans serif font.Thank you. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #149 #150 how's this for type adjsutment 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #152 type adjustment including increase spacing, I am using only one design to hone the text and will be applied to future or current designs 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer I've withdrawn anything that is not current or overlap it's best to keep the number of revision to a minimum as it's easier to view that scrolling through 20-30 designs 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Good idea. Better on Sentry Pacific. Financial Group smaller type. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer do you prefer with or without starburst? 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #165 update3 colour with Panone values, yes even with gradient applied....the lighter end of the gradient is simply a tint of the original color 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #166let try with out the grey/silver border 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer #169 minor update to #167 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer that is design #170 minor update to #167 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Thank you very, very much for an fantastic concept. It truly has been my favorite. Unfortunately, the majority of the team decided that other competitors are using lighthouse concepts so they prefer to go with a typographic style instead. You are a very thoughtful and talented designer. 10 years ago mariakeckler Client If you still want to submit something that competes with the top two design concepts, feel free. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer thank you for considering my work 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer It's pointless to start from scratch at this time. 10 years ago mariakeckler Client I understand. Thank you again very much. I hope we can work together in the future. 10 years ago 2B Pencil Logo Designer is #117 still a viable option it is a shield and can easily be adjsuted 10 years ago mariakeckler Client Hi Scott,As i said before, your design is my personal favorite and I have been trying to make a case for it with the larger team. After much going back and forth, it finally was eliminated. Again, thank you for providing such an excellent design. 10 years ago
