Can you simplify this logo a bit? I like the concept but I am thinking embroidery may be difficult given the details of the lions features and mane. Given that we are an apparel company, I can see a lion being an iconic animal figure like Lacoste alligator, Ralph Lauren Polo horse, Brooks Brothers sheep. I think Banana sometimes uses an elephant. If you can think of another animal that connotes scholar and gentlemen that would be great to see!! Thanks for the great idea!

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I was thinking of something strong, sophisticated and smart. Also, wanted to respect the other clothing lines you mentioned that are using other animals and couldn't think of one that was utilizing the lion.

I will work on simplifying it and making it more appropriate for embroidery, ect.
Thanks!

Thanks for simplifying. I am liking the concept of a crest shape. With symbols or images that represent scholar and gentleman.

Scholar - light, book, candle, lamp, tree (of knowledge)
gentleman - not sure, don't like top hat image, but not sure how is a "gentleman" is symbolized. maybe something princely like a crown?

Or other animal theme could be pegasus or lion with wings.

I like where you are going with the Lion. Seems to be too similar to lion king logo vs. something iconic like a Ralph Lauren horse or lacoste alligator or Penguin. Hard to explain what might be missing.

Are you going to be sticking in one color? Trying to keep the design simple and strong so when it is sticked at a small scale it will still translate well.

I will give it one more shot and do a more classic lion..probably a profile view of the entire animal.

Let me know your thoughts.
