Thanks for the first entry. I like the colors but I don't see any team members.

OK, I still like the feel of the outriggers going through the waves and the theme song of Hawaii-five-O, I just dropped it from the description because I figured most designers wouldn't be familiar with the show.

I like what you have done in #5 which kinda takes advantage of the long name of the business. Please place no more than 6 people total in the outrigger. Less is also fine if you are showing a close up of the canoe (ie. it is still a 6 man/woman canoe team)

By the way, I am open to the idea of logos that de-emphasis the "San Mateo" part or just use "SMW" if it works well with a design you have in mind.

Some quick rules that help demonstrate teamwork in a six man outrigger canoe:

There are 6 paddlers. The last paddler at the back of the boat is called the steersman. The steersman doesn't have to follow the next two rules:
Rule 1. Each paddler should be in about the same position as the paddler in front of him. So they should all be beginning a paddle stroke together, or all ending a paddle stroke together.
Rule 2. Each paddler should be paddling on the opposite side of the canoe from the man/woman in front of him.
Exceptions:
When taking a turn, paddler 1 and 2 at the front of the boat are on the left side.
When riding down a large wave, all paddlers and the steersman are leaning hard on the left side.
