Our Ideas & Additional Information
Rental Thingy.com is a very slick web application, very easy to use and very easy to find what you want quickly. For owners of the items, Rental Thingy.com provides all the legal support the owner needs to ensure they are completely covered in the event of damage or worse. We help to facilitate claims if needed and ensure that renters are who they say they are and much more. For renters, we provide access to items they could normally not get on their own, ensure full disclosure and provide payment proxy service. Rental Thingy has tight community integration to enable experience documentation, to answer questions about individual items and more.

We are interested in logos of all kinds, bright and colorful, web 2.0ish, perhaps a character like a blob, a fuzzy monster, who knows. Try to stay away from being too item specific - although later on as we determine the most popular categories, we will likely add some kind of iconography to the logo you create, i.e. if RV's do well, we might want our logo integrated with an RV icon. Rental Thingy.com does not facilitate general rentals, i.e. no weed wackers, no paint sprayers. We want to let a college kid rent out his XBox and 50 games for extra money, but we will not rent any post hole diggers. We facilitate rentals of margarita machines and jumping castles but not back hoes.

#1 I like it, its fun enough. Think I'd like to see a sans serif font and maybe some other other "thingy" concepts. Its a good start.

These are looking really good. Sorry Joop that I didnt respond earlier to your message, hadn't totally figured out the interface yet. I think the amoeba looking thingy and the dragon are my favorites so far. Just so you know, the character was just a suggestion, you guys really are the experts with this kind of stuff so do what you think is right. I don't have any idea what the final logo is going to look like (no preconceived ideas) so do what you all are so obviously good at doing...

Thanks!

I ranked the entries, they are sort of ranked by potential. Some of the entries have very good concepts, we like the metal robot guy (#25), but not in this way. We like the colors and font of #16, we like the character in #16 and like the professionalism in #21 and #17.

do with that what you will. These are all really good, very close to perfect.
