Re: Entry #16

Nong:

Thank you for your interest.

You are the first to pick up on the concept of the spear tip (i.e. your configuration of the "a" in team.) I generally don't care for all caps, however in this case, they do accommodate the graphic device, so I get it. Even so, what would it look like in "caps and lowers?"

I am partial to a single dominant graphic element, which an expanded version of your arrowhead might provide.

The following should have appeared in our brief but did not:

We use a metaphor of a client's company as a spear. Its sales team…the inflection point with the customer…is at the spearhead. Proactive, well-trained sales people are the very tip....the sharpest point.

Hence the name Point Teams.

Looking forward to working with you.

Entries 17 & 18

Nong:

I prefer 16 to either of these.

Working on it.

Entry 29

I like the way you've positioned the spearhead graphic element. Could it be larger?

Entry 33

The lower case italic is interesting. Don't like the idea of the arrow pointing "down." What would you think of this typestyle combined with the graphic element from 29?

Entries 25, 26, 17 and 18

Let's discard these and concentrate on what we have.

Thank your for your interest.

Entry 39

I like where this is heading.

What would you think of making that spearhead element larger still?

Nong:

You have distinguished yourself with your versatility and effort. There are people in this judging group really pulling for you.

Re: Entries 39 & 43

How much larger can we make that graphic element in contrast to the text?

At this point, there are six candidates that I consider to be equal contenders in this contest. If you receive this message, you are one of them. Congratulations.

The current ranking is roughly in the order that they were submitted. Don't attach a lot of significance to the ranking at this stage.

The current rankings are about the body of your work rather than a single design. For those of you who submitted multiple entries, there may be aspects of one that we may wish to see incorporated with another of your designs. So, don't withdraw lower ranked submissions at this point.

For some reason, most submissions chose to concentrate on a couple of specific color combinations, although I did not prescribe that. Are there other color combinations you would suggest?

One of the things that I will be considering in this final round is how the logo will look on certain backgrounds. (White and Black, obviously) What backgrounds would you recommend for your submissions?

I will be back shortly with specific notes for each of you.

I appreciate each of your efforts, and thank you again for your participation.

Nong:

I think we are in pretty good shape with #64

Some people here would like to see #16 in a lower case italic font.

Do you have any color combinations you would like to suggest for your basic designs (64&16)?

I would like to see how your design looks on a black background. If you have a suggestion for another effective background color for your design, I would like to see it as well.

Good luck,
Bob

Terrific work. Exactly what I asked for. You now lead the pack.

The only thing we haven't seen is that revision of #16 in the lower case font.

It disappoints me to write that I have chosen another design. I cannot begin to describe how close the decision was between the two of you.

It was a pleasure to work with you. I will have other contests in the future, and I hope to work with you again.

Best regards,
Bob
