RE: Entry 11

Blaine:

Very nicely done!

Your competitors have their work cut out for them.

The following should have appeared in our brief but did not:

We use a metaphor of a client's company as a spear. Its sales team…the inflection point with the customer…is at the spearhead. Proactive, well-trained sales people are the very tip....the sharpest point.

Hence the name Point Teams.

Looking forward to working with you.

Thank you for the feedback. #15 is a different version, more compact with both P and T represented.

At this point, there are six candidates that I consider to be equal contenders in this contest. If you receive this message, you are one of them. Congratulations.

The current ranking is roughly in the order that they were submitted. Don't attach a lot of significance to the ranking at this stage.

The current rankings are about the body of your work rather than a single design. For those of you who submitted multiple entries, there may be aspects of one that we may wish to see incorporated with another of your designs. So, don't withdraw lower ranked submissions at this point.

For some reason, most submissions chose to concentrate on a couple of specific color combinations, although I did not prescribe that. Are there other color combinations you would suggest?

One of the things that I will be considering in this final round is how the logo will look on certain backgrounds. (White and Black, obviously) What backgrounds would you recommend for your submissions?

I will be back shortly with specific notes for each of you.

I appreciate each of your efforts, and thank you again for your participation.

Re: Entry #11
Try moving the line "Sell at the tip of the spear" to Flush Right

Do you have any color combinations you would like to suggest for this design?

I would like to see how your design looks on a black background. If you have a suggestion for another effective background color for your design, I would like to see it as well.

Good luck,
Bob

Thanks for the feedback. #93 has an extra element added to the spear tip and the tag line has been moved to the right.

REALLY like that extra element in #93.

At this point, you are one of two remaining competitors.

If you have any variations in mind for backgrounds and color combinations, this would be the time to pull them out.

Good Luck!

#103 A horizontal part of the spear has been added.
#104 The spear head is more angular compared to the earlier one.

Thank you.

I am happy to announce that you will be my winner. The competition was very close. The enhancements you came up with at the end and the manner in which they were presented were the difference.

I would like to make the following adjustments to #110.
• Remove the sparkly flourish at the tip (as in #104)
• Change slogan to "The Tip of the Spear" by removing "Sell at" (Align at flush right)

Best regards,
Bob

While we are making the adjustments from my previous post, is there some way to eliminate the shadows at the bottom of the word "point?"

Also, before we lock in the final version, could we try just a little more space between the words "point" and "teams".....Now that I'm just looking at one of these, I'm seeing things I missed before.

Thank you for choosing my design. I've made the modifications. Although the tag line is flush right, it remains at the same slant as the graphic and text above it. I can make more changes if required.
Thank you.
