Thanks for your submissions! I really like entry #18 and entry #20. However, I'm not a huge fan of the captions. Is there a way to make the captions look more simple like those in Entry #24? The other concept I like is #29. Is there a way do the same with teh caption and also make the pic look more like a photo (as in some of the other submissions - like entry #6 or #13)?

Thank you very much for all of the feedback, it's very helpful.
I don't think there will be any trouble working up any of these.
I have a gradient in one of the images I already did that I can use and will work on drawing a person or people in a photo.

Take care,
Tim

Hello,

This is #30 changed to using the same caption symbol that #39 uses as well.

I wanted to do one with the check boxes inside the caption just to see how that looked.
Just another option I wanted to try.

Thanks again,
Tim

One more idea I had.
I think that covers it. Just had a lot of ideas and wanted to make sure I got them in.
Thanks again for the ranking, glad you liked it.

Hello,

I like the sharpness of #72 and just wanted to give you another option with a small variation of coloring the background in the photo.

Thank you,
Tim

Hello,
A couple of other options I wanted to show.
Also, I wanted to try a "?" in the caption symbol.

Logo Designer
Hello,

I'm glad you like #97.
These are just a few variations on that design as some other options for you.
One where it's not behind the letters, one with the person back in it outside of the letters and one with the angle changed.

Thank you,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for all these great submissions. I have some questions about the the whole process. I've never used this site before (so far I like the process a lot). Suppose I pick your logo as the top one.

1) What type of file do I receive? PSD file? Illustrator File?
2) Does this include the type of font and colors that you chose? Like I said in my description, I tend to design the site around the logo.
3) If it's a rare font, would you be able to send me the font?

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

You're welcome, I was trying to give as many options as I could.
I'm happy to answer your questions.

1)
First, when the contest is completed you will automatically receive an EPS file as that's the industry standard.
These image files can be enlarged almost infinitely or made smaller with no loss of quality or sharpness to the design. You will also receive a 1000x800 pixel JPEG image.
All designers who win a contest are required to upload those two formats when the contest is completed.

Also, I think I speak for most if not all designers in saying that we are happy to send you any other file formats you would like.
For example, in one contest I won I sent the Contest Holder an additional Illustrator file (AI), a couple Photoshop files (PSD) and a few different sized JPEGS.

2)
It does include the colors as seen in the design. It looks exactly like the design you see, only usually much sharper as it's not constricted to the small image size shown here.
In the EPS file, the font is converted into part of the graphic.
However, in any PSD file sent to you the font would still "be an editable font" and have it's name. You can also see the hex code ID for the color to easily use that exact color in your site.
I'm sure any designer would be happy to tell you the font name and the color ID as well.

3)
If you have Photoshop, you have the font I used and probably many of the others.
I don't think there would be a problem there, though it depends on the distribution rights for the particular font if it's really rare. Many of the fonts I use are of course the standard fonts that come with any Photoshop or other graphics app, and I also have some "free to distribute fonts". Of course, if it's a font the designer created I doubt they would have any trouble sending it.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
You can do so here of course, and you can also send any designer a Private Message.
During the contest, we can't send a PM unless the Contest Holder sends us one first (which is a good idea, I think)

Thanks again,
Tim

Hi Dave,

Speaking of fonts, I just wanted to show you couple of different ones,
Verdana ( #115 ) and Georgia ( # 116 ). The difference between the current one in #97 and Verdana is very slight. Georgia has the slab ends. Both are common font styles for website text (Verdana more so) as they are easy to read and almost universal as far as people having them or their families.
Please drop them in the "not interested" bin if you don't like either of them more than #97, I just wanted to show you the looks.

Thank you,
Tim

Hello,

Thought I would do one more of the photo with the caption coming out of it with a more colorful image.
Just another variation.

Thank you,
Tim
