I do not see an issue with the standalone text it's a minor treatment to the original design. Though I cannot discuss this in greater detail because the contest is not finalized.

I like this one with the flame a little bigger. I will go ahead and declare this one the winner. I do however like some aspects of version # 226. We have some applications, such as, Chef Coats that we may just want to use the "Originali's" pizza and wings without the Oven. I do like the lines above the name in #226. Other than that we love #227.
The spacing between the ORIGINALI'S text and the horizontal bars increased that what was bothering me about the layout spacing. Increased the flame size.
I am always concerned about reproduction on various substrates, especially embroidery. I have software that tests if a design will embroider. The design appears to stitch without major issues at 3in wide.
I am recommending that 'Originali's" has more weight to to balance out the the overall look and feel. I've selected an alternative typeface to achieve this.
The height to width letter ratio is more square. I do prefer the other type face for that reason
Congratulations on making the finals. You have worked extremely hard and we are thankful. I think this logo captures the double oven concept without using two ovens. I think the color choice is good. I also like the black and white rendering. So sorry about the font change. We decided late that the cursive font was too hard to read. We do have a couple of changes that we would like you to make. 1. Take out the white vent. The vent looks realistic, but the white color is confusing to some people. 2. You can take out Napoli-New York. We feel that this will simplify the look.
My team loves this logo. Could you give us a rendering that has Original's is a cursive or flowing font? That seems to be the only reason that you are not in 1st place.
The only thing that I might change is the inside of the oven. Maybe a flame. The actual flame in our oven is a blue flame. But a orange/yellow flame would be fine. What is the color you are using inside the oven? Can't tell if its orange or gold.
