Really don't care much for the oak leaf, we prefer an oak tree. Symbolizes longevity and streangth.

The selection of a leaf was not arbitrary. The leaf was chosen because there is little that is recognizable in the outline of an oak tree, whereas the leaves are distinctive. Also, something as ornate as a tree would lose quite a bit when embroidered on a shirt, whereas the proposed design would reproduced well when stitched.
