Please visit the NWCAthletics.com website before you begin your design. In the upper-left corner you will see a banner with a NWC logo and a WIAA logo. Those logos are for the league and state organizations represented by the website. Under those logos you will see the "logoless" name of the website, NWCAthletics.com with a green and gray font effect. I would like to replace the green/gray NWCAthletics.com with the new logo. If this is not clear, please post questions here. I will check back frequently to answer any questions.

#3 - I like the way NWC is above Athletics.com with the graphic to the left, but the star used for the graphic is not sporty enough.

#4 - I like the font, and the use of the Washington State outline/map.

#8 - I like the placement of the graphic and the grapic is more sporty than the star used in #3, but I would like something that incorporates a ball or a athletic figure that is a little more distinguishable.

#11 - On the right track, but I'm not exactly sure what the graphic is.

#12 - I like the idea of a tropy. I'm not crazy about the upside-down cone with the sphere on top, but I do like the wing concept.

#16 - I like the format. Simple and recognizable, but still not crazy about the graphic. Definitely headed in the right direction though.

#17 - Very catchy. I would probably need a couple versions of this logo. I'm not sure how well that would work hats and other embroidered items.

Come on people, we're running out of time. I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a concept that blows me away and takes my money! :-)

Just a little insight on how the winner will be selected. I will rank my top 5 logos and then ask a panel of 8-10 business partners, family, and friends to vote on their favorite from the top 5. So, just because your logo isn't ranked #1, doesn't mean that you don't have an opportunity to win - you just want to make sure you are in the top 5.

#18, #19, #20, #21, #22 - Sorry but none of thse will work because I need to be able to easily modify the logo and replace the "NWC" with the letters of another league.

#23, #24, #25 - These three are too busy for my taste, but I like #25 the best of the three.

Lots of good submissions rolling in. I'm starting to figure out that I really like the logos that incoporate either athletic figures or balls in them, so here are a list of the sports that we cover. Obviously, you can't incorporate all of these sports, so I've ranked them by popularity.

Football (American)
Basketball
Soccer
Volleyball (girls)
Track & Cross-Country
Baseball (boys)
Softball (girls)
Wrestling
Golf
Tennis
Swim & Dive

There are a lot of creative juices still flowing, so I have extended the contest for another week. I probably won't let it go that long, though. When I feel like I've got a real solid top 5, I'm going to bring in my voters, so keep the tweeks coming. I think there is still room in the top 5 for some new entries, too, so please continue to submit new designs.

Important clarification to what I said in the contest breif regarding expanding the website to other leagues:

I intend to use the winning logo with some additonal websites. This means that the logo will need to accomodate a variety of different domain names. Two existing examples are, CascadeAthletics.com and WashingtonPrepAthletics.com. If I have concerns about the adaptablity of your design, I may request that you submit a couple of variations of your design to demonstrate its adaptablity.
