The three levels of opennes in my logo:
1. total privacy - inner keyhole-like figure
2. group boundaries - outer fork-like figures
3. full community - inner circle

#12 - I agree this indicates how a network can have different unrelated segments - the 3 levels I requested. It reminds me how I can share some content with my friends, and other content with co-workers and the two do not see what I share with the other. Very good!

#12 - The green does appear to match the green color in the themeroller "Start" color scheme I referenced in the brief, so that is good. I think your gradient in the word nexul goes from the light blue to the
dark blue in the "start" theme. It makes it appear lit from the symbol.

I'd like to see those three different levels highlighted in some way, maybe by using 2-3 different colors. In a variation on this submission can you use the yellowish 'highlight' color or the red 'error' color in the themeroller start theme for the keyhole like figure? I'd like to see a few variations on this using different color combinations for the 3 different fork segments using this light green color, the yellow, and the red.

#16 - Can you update the slogan font size to be big enough to go to the left edge of the N and to the right where it is now. A few freinds gave feedback that the size made it hard to read. Maybe darkening the shade of gray a little would help as well?

#16 - Can you also make the logo bigger. The overall size looks smaller than other designers work. That may be contributing to the slogan being less readable. Thanks.

#17 - much more readable. Thanks.

between all your designs I'm torn between #17 and #12. I like the multi-color aspect of #17, but the two color simplicity of #12 addresses the friend comments I received about two colors being more adaptable to web site color changes. I'm curious how a mix of the two would look... starting with the sizing fixes of #17, change the inner key hold part to the same blue as the lettering, but have the two outer fork sections as the green color.

Its no problem if you want to wait until the judging phase to make these modifications.

I like the gradient better in #26 (instead of #27). My other top picks have orange and blue. They stand out alot due to having more contrast from afar. Can you submit a revision that makes the green with gradient an orange with gradient to make it easier to compare with the competition? Thanks.

#73 is better than #26 since it seems like the light source of the gradients now all come from the same light.

How would it look if the light source was straight up high? In that case I would expect the top half of the logo and lettering to be the light color. Then it would match the gradient pattern of the referenced image in the brief of the web site color scheme.

hi, I will be out soon to attend mass. The contest would have been over when I return. Should I still be in 1st place by that time, I would be happy to do any further changes that may come up.
Thanks.

#86 - The lettering gradient is great. The gradient on the blue key hole is great. I'd like to see one more revision of the outer forks gradient. Instead of having both outer forks have their own gradient, use the same gradient path for them both. And make the path for the gradient vertical like on the nexul lettering. So essentially the top outer fork would have more lighter green plus some of the middle green, and the lower fork would have the middle green at its top and the darker green at the bottom.

If it is not too much of a change for the judging phase... can you also create another alternate where there are flat circles at the end of some but not all of the outer fork points. That may also make the gradient show up better since the lighter color will have more surface area.

Maybe some of the fork edges could arc inward before they end, with the same center point as the other arcs. Also maybe a few of the points can be of differing length.

#126 is for your first comment for entry no.86
#127 w/ a subtle 3d look
#128 i thought adding circles at the tips would make it too close to no.52. Placed the circles in between the fork instead.
