Discussion

Thank you for 5 very interesting designs. When the contest started I was immediately comfortable with the use of the triangle as I have lived with my old logo for 17 years. The more designs that come in the more I realize it is time to start NEW as I am a new person having just completed 9 years of school to become a doctor. I am very impressed with font and movement in design #30. What else might you combine this to other than the triangle? Plus with Professional Intuitive & Psychotherapist under my name. I am also trying to decided if I want Dr. in front of my name as I doubt anyone knows what DSS stands for, but when I see it in print it is a bit of over the top.

When I make business cards, stationery and brochures, I will be using
Nancy R. Harris, DSS
Doctor of Spiritual Science
Professional Inutitive & Psychotherapist

My tag line is:
A Spiritual Approach to Resolving Everyday issues,
Would the tag line better would that fit into the logo and have
my name to totally separate???

I am interested in seeing how your art work, might work with the above information. Would you rearrange anything to create a logo that brands more of what I do than my name? I confess I need your expertise as my old logo and I have been together for 17 years. Not really sure how to best re-brand into days world.
Thanks for all your help

Vea,
Thank-you for hearing and understanding what I was asking. I am very impressed with the font and word layout of your design #69. I like your design and I confess I am struggling between yours the one I have chosen as #1 and #2 as I feel that logo tells a story of personal expansion, which is what my work is all about. It is going to be a very hard choice. You have already submitted 8 wonderful designs. And as of now you are number 2. If you have any other ideas for a design that goes with the font and word layout that I have now listed as my number 3 choice I would be honored to see them.
Thank you for all your inputs.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for getting back to me. I just uploaded a couple of new options that I think depict the personal expansion you mentioned. Let me know how you feel about these.

Vea,
Thank you for the new entries. I am impressed with entry number #168. The inner part spoke to me and another spiritual Psychotherapist as an eye. Being that I am an seeer, it fits. I would like to see the inner part with a different outer, as the circle just does not do it for me or my friend. My signature program is titled: Intuitive Awareness Training. It is a 6-month intensive training for gaing the ability to access, trust and daily use one's intuitiion. Upward movement, personal transformation, and seeing or KNOWING more, is what I would love a logo to jump off the page with this message. I am aware that my request is a TALL ORDER!. But one last try, if you have the time, might be worth it! THANKS for all that you have done. I know you have put a lot of thought into your designs.

Hello Nancy,
I added a few new options with the eye design. Not sure if #171 looks like the Eye of Providence, but still.
I also included a version with a tree, since that's the closest in my mind to Knowing.

If you have anything else in mind, please feel free to share.

Vea,
Thanks for these new designs. You are making it really hard to make a decision. Would you please provide Logos 177 and 175 with the inner circle a bit more oval so as to slightly get a more of an eye effect. Being that I am a Professional Intuitive and SEE things that others do not, I am curious if using the idea of an eye might speak to what I do. Thanks for making this SLIGHT change.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Your new selections is NOT what I wanted.
I wanted entry number 177 exactly as it was, same size, to the side of my name, with ONLY the center cirlce a bit more oval. Please try again. Thanks

I am very sorry if my last message sound a bit harsh. I am very tired and have found the whole logo tournamnet harder than I ever expected. I am 65 years old and not a computer person. Hard to believe I became a doctor at 65 and still plan to work another 10 years, so a logo that will age with me is important and I feel yours can. It would be so much easier to talk with you via the phone or in person and explain at length what I want.

I love logo #177 as I really am a modern art fan and this logo speaks to me. ALL I wanted to change was the inner circle area to be more oval to seem just a bit more like an eye. The rest was to stay the same, to the side of my name. Not the whole logo more oval. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. I would really like to see the change as soon as you can as I am now in the judging stage. I want to get the final two off to a few more friends and be done ASAP.

Thanks again for ALL the wonderful designs. I know you have put a lot of work into all of this, it is appreciated.

Vea,
I have moved you into position number 1 so that we can communicate during the judging stage.
I have completed all design revision with the other person. I have narrowed it down to 2 designs and designers. So hopefully you will be able to get your revisions to me soon.

I am also interested in knowing if you do business cards, stationery, etc and if you are available for private hire when the contest is finished. Please advise! Also, How can one contact you after the judging stage is complete, if we choose to do more work together. As my doctorate disseration is to become a book and I am adding a new division to my corporation, which I may want to continue with your designs. Not all of your designs were what I wanted in this contest, but I admire you style and have some other ideas brewing that I might want to work with you privately. Please advise about all this.

Nancy,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I just uploaded a few versions with more oval shape of the central circle so let me know if that's what you had in mind.

As for additional services, these can be easily discussed after the contest ends.

Thanks we did it!
Now it is so hard to make a final decision as I see your logo as perfect for my intuitive training and the other choice as perfect for my book that is forth coming from my dissertation. I did not start out with the two ideas as I was only looking for new business cards and stationery. What is recommended when a client really loves two designs?
Thanks for your input.

This is a very good question. The usual practice is to award a winner and offer similar payment to buy the rights for the other design of your choice.

Vea,
In coming to the very end of the decision process, I would really appreciate it if you would provide entry #188 with some different FONTS, As much as I like this one, I find the R a bit too big. Hopefully you can find a font where the R does not become the center focal point. And one that is a bit less scprit, as most people are reacting to it a too busy for a business card, etc.
Thanks for all your help.
Nancy
Final decision tomorrow, Sunday is my deadline.
I am going to pick the winner and also communicate with the runner up re: purchase. How does one communicate with you after the contest.

Vea,
Not sure if you got this message as I might only be able to communicate with you with your were in the #1 slot. Hope this is not going to you with too short of notice. I had personal things that HAD to be handle this week that did not provide me the time to focus on the Logo Tournament. Only have 24 hours to complete the decision.
