I had this same issue in the first competition. Here is the problem that I have and do not know how to fully say this without stepping on peoples toes. We like a combination of the two designs that are ranked one and two.
1) We like the font, color and over all text of the 1st ranked design (entry #36) - We would like to extend the "L" upwards just a bit to even more distinguish it from the "My"
2) We like the idea of the little guy holding up his hands with the time theme in logo ranked two (entry 48) What we would like to do is use the image of the little guy holding up his hands with the time theme to take the place of of the hands holding the WiFi in entry #36
Can we combine the two ideas into one without upsetting the two designers? The last time this happened the two designers split the fee. If we can do this again here, I'll add another $50.00 to the total prize.

Although unique concepts (such as my icon) are protectable, use of text and type is not--thus here is my best rendition of what I think you are looking for. *I should mention the idea of the split is currently in discussion within the designer forums. I have already agreed to do what the majority feel is right, and I think Revo will agree to this as well. So it is possible that the split could end up being the best solution. Can we leave out the green border, and use the same shades as in logo ranked number two now? Actually, font & text shading & color exactly like #36 ranked 2nd. Just make the "L" like you have it
After the contest is over, can we still do some minor tweaking to the design? See what it looks like without the tag line and maybe add a shadow underneath it?
Hello, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I am still waiting for a couple of Mods to weigh in on the matter. Since I used a different font than Revo, he can not claim mine is a copy. (Again, as mentioned, color and font look are not protectable.) I will proceed with making the changes you requested, and I can add the shadows you wanted as well! Also, if the contest hits judging mode, your top-ranked designer can still submit changes for you, as needed.
If it ends up going to a split again, it sounds like it is going to be up to you to decide who will receive the win again just like your previous contest (contrary to Revo's demands). As soon as I hear from more Mods and/or Admin, I will proceed with the rest of the process.

I will be sending Revo my graphic now via email, so he can plug it in for you. Also, just a reminder: even if your contest hits Judging Mode, your top-ranked designer (Revo) can still submit changes for you as needed until you are satisfied with the final product.
